Shortly thereafter, after some basic knowledge I gained by spending my time in that library, Ralion came to me more often. He tried to explain to me what I read about the Brotherhood. We spent several hours a day in meditation. For the beginning, it was enough to just overcome my thoughts and direct them, as he called it. Although it became easier for me, every next time, to start and maintain meditation, I did not notice any significant differences. Though, Ralion said that I was progressing and that I would soon see what he was talking about. We used to talk about my questions for some time and he removed me from the vagueness.
Brotherhood was founded three centuries earlier, in strict confidentiality, founded by the King with a group of warriors from the war he battled. Conquering distant lands and bringing them under the auspices of the Kingdom, they explored the conquered territories. Accidentally during one searcher, they encountered a hidden library. In those books that they found there, they discovered a long kept secret. Meditation. Then the king asked his fellow men to be educated to serve in his elite warrior unit, each of them read the scripts there. Those who understood the same truth as the king were selected, and he instructed nine warriors to establish this Brotherhood of the Blood.
The main goal was initially the preservation of peace in the kingdom when diplomacy was not sufficient for that. Over time, studying the meditation skills and discovering new things, they understood the whole truth. Such a method is intended only for talented people, so they were not understood by all the warriors that those books were found on that day in that remote territory. Talented were digging deeper and deeper into the truths hidden behind these unusual methods of training. They realized that meditation could reach the level of a warrior's art as no one knew before. By acquiring these knowledge, new truths were revealed to them and thus changed the purpose of their existence. The King, who also saw these truths, gave the Brotherhood a shaky hand to recruit new warriors for the Brotherhood through secret people's channels. He also gave them absolute power, and an excuse for all the crimes they could do. He did it all because he knew that no one would misuse it from the Brotherhood Warriors. The great truths discovered at that time, learned at the moment when they entered the Brotherhood, so that I remained detained in the comprehension of the whole truth. The only thing I knew was that you had to be a pure heart so that all of it would work.
As the days passed, I even became accustomed to the life separated from the rest of the world. And that pleased me. Important news from the palace and great events in the kingdom came to us at the same pace that they happened and I was not sure how they do it. Maybe these methods of meditation have something to do with that?
I have met up to now over twenty warriors who belonged to the Brotherhood, while the rest of them were still deployed on secret tasks. I did not notice anyone like me, that is, no young boy on the training for admission to the Brotherhood. Ralion explained to me that another lad should come in the coming months, but that there are no fortunates yet, if he is sufficiently pure heart.
Ralion, who often said that I am the true son of my father. That confused me, and I was not upset to ask questions about it. I did not know this man who, in his words, was a father to me. Everything about him I knew I heard from the story around city. Legends actually. Everyone in the Kingdom spoke of him as the best man and warrior our ruler's vine ever had. They said that he loved his people more than his power and that he spent more time with friends and with the ordinary world, but with his family. A man, a pure heart, the people spoke. I now understand that it had a much greater meaning than the people could have assumed.
I heard the easy steps behind, sitting in the library and reading the history of Brotherhood, I looked around and saw Ralion approaching. Come on boy, it's time to try meditation for war training. I think you're ready for that step.
