Hello friends how are you? Are they taking care of themselves? Today I want to show you nothing more and nothing less than: The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap.

It is the twelfth video game in The Legend of Zelda saga, developed by Flagship under the supervision of Nintendo. The Minish Cap is the first original title in the series for handheld after the reissue of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past along with the first multiplayer Zelda, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. The game made its way to the Game Boy Advance in November 2004 in Japan, Latin America, and Europe, and in early 2005 in the United States and Australia. source

The Minish Cap is the third title of The Legend of Zelda that is developed around the legend of the Sword of the Four Elements, expanding the story seen in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures, and telling the origin of this legendary sword and the evil sorcerer Vaati. A magical talking cap named Ezero can shrink Link down to the size of the Minish, a tiny race that lives in Hyrule. The game retains some common elements from previous editions of the saga, such as the development of the story in the kingdom of Hyrule or the appearance of various members of the Goron race, while at the same time introducing new elements, such as the mysterious stones of the luck among others. The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap was generally well received by critics, was rated the 20th best Game Boy Advance game by IGN and named "Game of the Year" in 2005 by GameSpot. souerce

The Minish Cap storyline centers on the earlier story of Vaati and the Quadruple Sword, which were already important elements in Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures. The Minish (ピ ッ コ ル pikkoru?) Are a race of small creatures who worshiped a young man in green robes, a sword and a bright golden light, many years before the game took place. There are three types of Minish: city, of the forest and of mountains. souerce

The adventure begins when Link is chosen by the King of Hyrule to ask the minish for help because Vaati has petrified Princess Zelda. Link was chosen because only children can see minish. During his journey, he rescues Ezero, a strange being that resembles a green hat with a bird's head, who joins his search and helps him become minish size when necessary. Though not revealed at first, he and Vaati were once Minish: Ezero, a renowned and wise craftsman, and Vaati, his apprentice. Vaati became corrupted by madness and hated by men, he took a magic hat that Ezero had made for the humans of Hyrule. The hat fulfills any wish made by the wearer and Vaati asked to become a mighty warrior. So he turned his old teacher, who tried to stop him, into a hat. With the help of Ezero, Link will gather the four elements and use them to restore the minish sword and turn it into the Quadruple Sword, capable of destroying Vaati. source

After Link restores its power to the Quadruple Sword, Vaati transforms Hyrule Castle into Dark Hyrule Castle - the last dungeon in the game. After draining all the power of the Light from Zelda, Link fights Vaati. Link defeats Vaati after participating in a fight in which Vaati undergoes different transformations. When Link and Zelda flee the castle, which is collapsing, they run into Vaati again, who takes the final form and the final battle of the game takes place. After the battle, Ezero returns to his original form, then hands Zelda the Wishing Hat and lets her make a wish. The people affected by the curse recover and the castle returns to normal. The cap floats with the power of life and disappears. Ezero gives Link a new hat and tells him that he's really enjoyed traveling with him, then leaves just before the minish world closes down. source

The Minish Cap maintains the general characteristics present in previous episodes of the Zelda series. The main protagonist, Link, must go through several dungeons to obtain an item or improvement at the end of each dungeon that is crucial for the quest. The bosses of the game are defeated using the object acquired in the dungeon of said boss. The game also includes multiple secondary missions: optional tasks that are not part of the main objective but the rewards that are obtained when completing it are beneficial for the player. Old characters from the Zelda series appear and some are part of secondary objectives; for example, the player must talk to Tingle and his brothers to earn a reward. source

The Minish Cap features a number of enhancements that benefit from having a more powerful platform: the Game Boy Advance. The game's camera angle is closer to the ground, allowing for a greater degree of detail. In the upper world and in the dungeons, the game replaces the traditional object interface of Zelda games for the handheld console with pictures associated with objects or button actions, similar to the interface of other 3D titles such as Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker. Enemies include familiar creatures from the Zelda universe, such as keatons. Link can also perform actions found in 3D Zelda games, such as rolling on the ground. The game introduces three new items: the Mole Gloves, the Magic Vase, and the Upside Down Staff. The mole gloves allow Link through certain materials to act as an obstacle, the magic vase is used to suck up nearby objects and substances, and the upside down staff allows him to turn anything he hits. The game improves on the combat system from other handheld games by allowing Link to learn new sword techniques throughout the game, some of them present in previous games and some new ones. source

After Capcom and Flagship finished development of Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages for the Game Boy Color, they began work on a new Zelda for the Game Boy Advance. Work on the title was discontinued to allow the team to focus on Four Swords. But in February 2003 Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma announced that the development of what would later be called The Minish Cap was "well under way." Nintendo launched the website for The Minish Cap in September 2004, showcasing Link's ability to shrink. source

As an exceptional case in the Zelda saga, the game was released in European territories before North America. The main reason was the release date of the Nintendo DS: in Europe this was scheduled for spring 2005, and Nintendo Europe pushed to make The Minish Cap the "killer app" of the portable console for Christmas. Conversely, Nintendo America delayed its launch so as not to "cannibalize" the Nintendo DS market. source
