Today, I will share with you my simple recipe on how to cook a Mung Bean with Sotanghon.
These are the Ingredients:
- 1/2 kilo of mung bean.
- 1/4 kilo of sotanghon.
- 1/2 kilo of pork ribs (optional), chopped
- honrenso vegetables (optional) you can use any kind of green leaves vegetables.
- 1/2 kilo of squash,sliced.
- 1 piece of medium-sized onion, chopped.
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped.
- ginger
- onion leaves
- salt
- cooking oil
- pepper to taste.
Procedures:
Boil the mung beans for about 30 minutes.
Prepare a pot that will fit all the dishes.
Heat the pot then add 3 tablespoons of cooking oil, Add the onions and garlic,
And also the ginger. mix until it becomes brown.
Add the pork ribs then mix until it becomes tender, then add the squash then, mix again until it becomes tender.
Add 4 cups of water, boil until the pork is cooked then put the sotanghon then add the vegetables and the onion leaves.
Then add salt and pepper to taste.
This kind of recipe is very popular in the Philippines. This is commonly served in a public restaurant.
