Day two of our trip began with a radiant sun, so radiant that we were so hot throughout the visit that we did not stop drinking water.

They picked us up at the port and we headed to one of the most desired visits of the entire trip (Pompeii). For those of you who don't know history, Pompeii was a city in southern Italy that was buried in meters of ash and pumice after the eruption of the Mount Vesuvius volcano, near the coast of Naples.

When we got to Pompeii, we had to stand in line for about 30 minutes just to buy the ticket, once our guide got us the tickets, he gave us some headphones since we were a fairly large group and that way he could explain to us even if we were a little behind.

In this photo I am going to show you Mount Vesuvius, I imagine what the people who lived through that had to think when they saw the mountain spit lava and ashes.

One of the places we visited were some Roman baths, the inhabitants used it to rest, disconnect and take hot water baths and relax. It is said that important decisions about the direction of the kingdom were made in those places.

The story goes that the amount of lava and ash that the volcano ejected was so great that it caught the entire town off guard and because of that people, animals and all kinds of petrified materials have been found due to the years they had been underground before. to find them. These photos are a bit harsh as there is even a pregnant woman trying to protect her child.

They also showed us what was an old grocery store. It is assumed that when a client went, he asked for the item he wanted and depending on the hole he occupied, it was one size or another and that is how he was charged. Undoubtedly one of the oldest shops that have been discovered.

Then they took us to a couple of amphitheaters. The theaters in the Roman age were the places they had to have fun, they did a wide variety of things from plays to the fight of warriors.

At the end of the visit they left us free time in Naples. We went to see a castle that was quite close to the port, we liked it a lot for its imposing towers, although inside it was not too big but on the outside it was worth the walk.

One of the things that most surprised us was the price of gasoline and Diesel. At that time we paid just over 1 Euro per liter and here it was much more expensive.

At the end of the excursion we returned to the ship and we found a surprise. When they made our bed they had left us an animal made out of towels. We loved it.

PS: The animal was a crab, jejejejeje
