En el cuarto día de nuestro viaje, hacemos parada en Florencia, una ciudad de mis preferidas de Italia, por sus monumentos, su rio, sus gente, etc... perderte por sus calles del centro es todo un placer.

On the fourth day of our trip, we make a stop in Florence, one of my favorite cities in Italy, for its monuments, its river, its people, etc... getting lost in its downtown streets is a real pleasure.

Nuestra primera parada la hicimos en la catedral de Florencia, desde donde nos dejó el autobús hicimos una caminata de unos 15 minutos a pié con nuestro guía hasta que llegamos a la Catedral de Santa María Fiore, una increíble construcción del Renacimiento y Gotico Italiano.

Our first stop was at the Florence Cathedral, from where the bus left us we walked for about 15 minutes with our guide until we reached the Cathedral of Santa Maria Fiore, an incredible Italian Renaissance and Gothic construction.

Sin duda es una imponente catedral Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco desde el año 1982. Se terminó de construir en torno al 1900 aproximadamente y tiene unas enormes puertas de bronce talladas a mano.

Without a doubt, it is an imposing cathedral that has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1982. It was completed around 1900 approximately and has enormous hand-carved bronze doors.

Una vez que terminamos seguimos la calle todo recto hasta abajo dirección el rio y nos encontramos con unas vistas panorámicas del rio, a una lado el rio sigue su cauce y al otro el famoso ¨Ponto Vecchio¨o Puente Viejo. Dice la leyenda que ese puente estaba lleno de puestos de vendedores ambulantes de pescado, desde ahí limpiaban el pescado para venderlo y tirar los restos al rio directamente. La Reina mandó a construir una planta superior para cruzar el puente sin tener que pasar por medio del pueblo y así evitar también el olor a pescado. Es sin duda otro símbolo de la ciudad.

Once we finish we follow the street straight down towards the river and we find panoramic views of the river, on one side the river continues its course and on the other the famous "Ponto Vecchio" or Old Bridge. Legend has it that this bridge was full of stalls of street fish vendors, from there they cleaned the fish to sell it and throw the remains directly into the river. The Queen ordered to build an upper floor to cross the bridge without having to go through the town and thus also avoid the smell of fish. It is without a doubt another symbol of the city.

Desde la catedral hasta el rio pasamos por una calle con edificios altos y muy decorados de la época,, les hice una foto y queria compartirla con ustedes. Sin duda belleza mires por donde mires.

From the cathedral to the river we passed through a street with tall and highly decorated buildings of the time, I took a picture of them and wanted to share it with you. Undoubtedly beauty look where you look.

De vuelta nos encontramos con una especia de edificio con una estatua de bronce debajo. Le llaman la ¨Fontana del Porcellino¨ y dice la leyenda que si le tocas el morro te da buena suerte, de ahí, que tiene el morro totalmente brillante.

On the way back we find a kind of building with a bronze statue below. They call it the ¨Fontana del Porcellino¨ and the legend says that if you touch its nose it gives you good luck, hence its totally shiny nose.

Después nos dieron tiempo libre para comer y cometimos el error de pararnos a comer en un restaurante cerca de la plaza de la catedral y digo ¨cometimos el error¨ porque todos sabemos los precios que hay en los sitios turisticos. La comida en sí no nos pareció muy caro, pero sin embargo la bebida... nos pedimos 2 Cocacolas y nos cobraron 7 Euros por cada una.

Then they gave us free time to eat and we made the mistake of stopping to eat in a restaurant near the cathedral square and I say "we made the mistake" because we all know the prices in tourist places. The food itself did not seem very expensive to us, but nevertheless the drink... we ordered 2 Cocacolas and they charged us 7 Euros for each one.

De vuelta hicimos la última parada de camino al barco y fue. La verdad es que Pisa me sorprendió ya que es bastante pequeña y al menos el día que fui estaba todo muy solo, había apenas gente mas allá de los cientos de turistas que estábamos. Nos hicimos la típica foto obligada y nos dieron algo de tiempo por si quería hacer algunas compras y de nuevo al autobús

On the way back we made the last stop on the way to the ship and it was. The truth is that Pisa surprised me since it is quite small and at least the day I went it was all very lonely, there were hardly any people beyond the hundreds of tourists that we were. We took the typical forced photo and they gave us some time in case I wanted to do some shopping and back to the bus

De vuelta en el autobús estabamos super cansados, mi mujer me hizo esta foto sin yo saberlo. La verdad es que los cruceros son muy cansados, ya que haces excursiones en algunas ocasiones muy pero que muy largas.

Back on the bus we were super tired, my wife took this photo of me without me knowing. The truth is that cruises are very tiring, since you sometimes make excursions that are very, very long.

¿Que os ha parecido Florencia, conocíais esta ciudad Italiana? Yo la verdad es que me llevé una muy buena impresión, si es cierto que no es la ciudad que mas me gusta de Italia pero está entre una de las primeras.

What do you think of Florence, did you know this Italian city? The truth is that I got a very good impression, if it is true that it is not the city that I like the most in Italy but it is among one of the first.
