Starting with greeting and respect, I'm @jebanikajeba, From Bangladesh. Today I'm sharing about a very special vegetable of winter which is Cauliflower. Cauliflower is a very popular vegetable of our people in Bangladesh, cauliflower is easily available in almost every market. Bangladesh starts to cultivate cauliflower during winter, different varieties of cauliflower can be seen in different colors, and cauliflower is at the top of the winter food list.
More than fifty varieties of cauliflower are now available in Bangladesh. Different of cauliflower can be cultivated in early, mid, and early seasons in winter, but now due to the development of agricultural systems, varieties suitable for the cultivation of cauliflower are available in summer as well.
Cauliflower seedlings are grown in seedbeds and planted in the field, and now there are a variety of packet seeds available that are easy to grow cauliflower seedlings. At the time of land preparation, equal amounts of sand, soil, and organic matter should be mixed and mixed to make a seed bed. After 12 days of germination of cauliflower seeds, it is suitable for planting when the seedlings have 5 leaves.
Cauliflower seedlings should generally be planted in rows and care should be taken not to twist or bend the roots during planting. This delays the Establishment of seedlings in the soil and reduces the growth of cauliflower. Urea, TSP, MOP, Borax, and cow dung fertilizers are applied in three instalments after planting cauliflower till growth and picking.
Before applying fertilizer, the soil layer should be broken and the weeds should be cleaned with a hoe. Irrigation should be done immediately after fertilization. Besides, irrigation should be done when the land is dry. Care should also be taken that the soil does not remain waterlogged for long periods, and Boron fertilizers should be applied to prevent Insect infestation.
There are very few people who don't like to eat cauliflower, especially in winter cauliflower is used to cook in different delicious items every day like cauliflower paratha, cauliflower korma, cauliflower luchi, cauliflower bhaji, cauliflower masala egg curry, cauliflower Dalna, cauliflower roast, Cauliflower pakoras, cauliflower with fish broth curry, cauliflower soup and noodles, are adding flavor to our rasana through various spices. This Cauliflower vegetable also has Various Beneficial properties.
Cauliflower is a good source of water and fiber and its high fibre intake helps lower Blood pressure and Cholesterol levels. Cauliflowers antioxidants and phytonutrients are effective against cancer. Cauliflower contains a group of compounds known as Glucosinolates, and when it is Chewed and Digested, these substances are Broken down into compounds that may help prevent Cancer.
Eating cauliflower helps protect cells from Damage and also has Anti inflammatory, Antiviral and Antibacterial effects. The ingredients present in cauliflower help in Weight loss, improve digestion strengthen bones and improve the Cardiovascular system. Cauliflower contains choline which is essential for memory and is full of other important nutrients.
