Today lets take a look at electronic music being made in a live session.
We see Rheyne in his studio at work, using the amazing software Ableton Live with several moog synthesizers, Novation Launchpad, Midi keyboards and so on. He simply improvises this on the fly, quiet impressive.
I have Ableton Live as well and it is absolutely mind boggling what you can do with it. After a lot of learning about it, of course. Its not freeware, the proper version costs about € 500 - but its really worth it. All you need to start off is a fast PC and fast harddisks. And a Novation Launchpad and a Midi Keyboard is also recommended, or a similar Midi device from Akai or so.
All those synths are not required really, since everything can run on samples and plugins on the PC. But man... all this gear does look so cool! :)
Enjoy the 1 hour session with 9 tracks, that Rheyne recorded in May:
