Dear Coffee Lover, at Barista Academy Lechería we want to become an expert in Coffee and Barismo, a profession with high labor demand in Venezuela and other countries, that is why we come this time with the fifth edition of our intensive course. It's 10 hours of theory and a lot of practice, learning the skills you need behind the espresso bar, such as the concepts of coffee botany, roasting and grinding the beans, extraction techniques, customer service and tasting good Venezuelan and American coffees.

This time our course is theoretical-practical and 100% face-to-face, so you must reside in Venezuela or be willing to travel to our city, in Lecheria, Anzoategui state. But if you live in another country and you would like to train with us, we have another good news for you, within our short-term plans is to develop the modality of online and multi-language courses.

Course content:

We have two days of well-nourished training, where we will be dealing with theoretical and practical aspects of the production of specialty coffees, Green Coffee, extractions, Latte Art, Brewing, Roasting, Cupping.

Day 1:
🔸History and botany of coffee.
🔸Basic concepts of roasting and grinding.
🔸Mill calibration.
🔸Barismo concept.
🔸Extraction concepts.
🔸Introduction to Brewing or filtered.
🔸Introduction to Cupping.
🔸Bewing practice.

Day 2:
🔸Introduction to espresso and derivatives.
🔸 Dairy management.
🔸Milk steaming techniques.
🔸Elaboration of Cappuccinos and latte.
🔸Introduction to Latte Art.
🔸Coffee-based drinks, coldbrew, frappuccinos, etc.
🔸Biosafety and biosafety standards at the bar and customer service.
🔸Maintenance of the machine.
🔸Practice in espresso machine.

Our espresso machine and our grinder are active waiting for you! so that you can have a good time practicing, tutored by our certified teacher @daniellozada, who is a Barista, coffee roaster and producer of specialty coffees, as well as a master chocolatier and director in several associations of coffee producers in the country.

As you can see in the content of the course, we will be addressing the concepts of cupping, but this does not stop here, in the practical tasting session, in addition to the respective sensory calibration, you will be able to evaluate very high-end coffees, such as these two Colombian special coffees of the friends of Developers of Coffee. Also special coffees from Venezuela, such as Laguna Suprema Coffee State, Café Los Pajaritos and the house brand @Hacienda4dcoffee.
