Hello Coffee Lovers, today we want to tell you about our Barista course that we held a few days ago in our city, where, as always between cups of delicious coffee, the Barista Academy Lecheria team really enjoyed teaching and sharing with good students. If you want to know more, we invite you to continue reading the following publication.
Teaching new Baristas the techniques of coffee extraction, the techniques to offer excellent customer service in the cafeteria, as well as other aspects of the agricultural production chain, which influence the flavors and aromas of the cup, is the objective of our academy. We are very happy, because this time we have the presence of the renowned Barista and master baker Julio Diaz, who guided the students in the practical part of the workshop, together with our CEO @daniellozada. Also, we have the pleasant presence of a friend from the house, called Julia Laya, who is a renowned presenter in the prestigious radio station of our city, she with her eloquence skills and her beautiful voice, introduced the participants to the world of the coffee.
Unlike our intensive barista courses, where we must train coffee lovers who want to improve their coffee at home, as well as those more experienced who work in coffee shops, this time, we only dedicate ourselves to training a group of baristas in the use and the correct techniques of the espresso machine. For this reason, the course was a single day and somewhat shorter than the ones we usually teach, which last two days.
After an extraordinary introduction to the world of coffee and the theoretical part given by our friend Julia Laya and our CEO @Daniellozada, we continue with the practical part, yes guys the practical part, we already know what we all like and what we all like. start the day of consuming a lot of coffee, hehehe. We delight in learning the correct techniques for making espresso coffee, that drink of few milliliters that has a great density and that is the basis for making other coffee drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes, frappuccinos, among others.
Every barista must know the two schools that govern the preparation of this drink, they must also strive to obtain a balanced and sweet drink, as well as a good cream like the one we see in the photograph. By the way, today's practice was done with the coffee of our ally @hacienda4dcoffee, who has a fabulous work team on the farm and in the roaster, in order to offer a very high quality coffee.
Once the perfect espresso technique was mastered, we began the practice of creaming milk in the machine and making cappuccinos, lates and mokaccinos. In this part of the course all students demonstrate their artistic abilities, therefore, it is also time to practice latte art techniques such as Etching and free pouring, which is a bit more complex for beginners. For example, the teacher Julio made the simplest free-pouring figure, the heart. It is important to mention that it looks simple but, for a beginner to be able to do it, he must have a few practice cafes. This is why for the newest ones, we recommend making figures, using the Etching technique, with a little milk cream or syrup we manage to make a contrast, which, with a little creativity and a barista brush, we will make beautiful figures to decorate.
the cups of coffee with milk. It is a good time to share, he laughs and enjoys a lot when the figures in the cafe do not turn out as we wanted, he also drinks a lot of coffee. It really is the part of the course that we like the most and we all really enjoyed it.
Finally, we talk about the maintenance of the machine and the espresso station, in order to comply with the hygiene and safety standards in the cafeteria bar, among other things. Finally, as is customary in all the activities we do, we take the group photo that remains as a souvenir along with a coffee package given by the ally @hacienda4dcoffee.
In a few days we will be doing another course, but this will be an intensive coffee and barista course, which lasts two days. If you want to take a face-to-face course with us, do not hesitate to contact us. We receive STEEM and SBD in the tuition payments, also shortly we will start our online training program, for all those who are in another city or country. Let's all take care of yourself and drink a lot of coffee, see you in a next post.
