Our last Intensive Barista Course was a great success and a fabulous experience that everyone should live. The school students who participated in this edition, in addition to learning the basic techniques and skills that every Barista must know to properly prepare an exquisite cup of coffee, had an extraordinary experience tasting coffees from various producing areas, as well as learning about various aspects of the coffee chain, such as botany that brings us closer to rural production units and the protagonists who make us here in the city enjoy this drink, these are the farmers, who put all their effort and effort so that Every year the harvest is a success and the Baristas, as well as the consumers, can have raw material to make the drink.

Day 1

As in all our courses, we start drinking coffee, hehehe many will say that it is obvious, but it is time to give the first approach to the participants to the specialty coffees, in addition to supplying that first portion of caffeine that will allow to continue the training with good cheer up. Here we offer one of the best specialty coffees that we have in our reserves, a Bourbon variety coffee with Scandinavian roast from the friends of Developers of Coffee from Medellin Colombia. As we want an intense and very pleasant drink, in most cases we select the French press coffee maker, which offers us a result like the one we are looking for.
After introducing ourselves, we started with the theoretical part of the course, pleasant and interesting for some and a bit boring for others, the latter are those who learn best by doing or practicing. But it is time to remind you that after the theory, we will have a lot of practice.

A few hours later we do the first practice of alternative extraction methods, which the participants like very much and allows, in addition to getting to know each other and begin to interact with each other, to taste various types of specialty coffees prepared in different coffee machines that will give a different profile for each cup. At the end we start with the first break and coffee break.

In this way, a few hours later, we finished the first day of classes, all the participants with a lot of information to begin to apply in the practice of the next day, with a lot of good spirit thanks to the caffeine and the interaction given by the group dynamics of the course.

Day 2

We arrived with great expectation, both the participants of the instructor, as well as the instructor towards the participants. This day we begin with the sensory fundamentals, calibrating our sensory memory and senses, knowing the tasting protocols and tasting several of the best coffees in Central America and Venezuela, this being very important because a barista not only prepares, but must also recognize defects in the coffees, bad processes and pleasant flavors and aromas like those strange ones that are not very pleasant.

Once this part was finished, the moment that everyone expected arrived, he practiced it in the espresso machine and the latte art that everyone loves. This is a very pleasant moment because, the atmosphere of camaraderie and the sharing that is created, allows the participants to express all their artistic qualities, which will be reflected in each cup of coffee they prepare. It is a time to drink a lot of coffee, tasting each variant in the preparation of this drink.

Then we do the coffee break of the day and take the opportunity to once again promote the Steemit platform and the Steem cryptocurrency. We also take the opportunity to deliver the gifts from the sponsors and take the group photo, which will be remembered at the academy and on social networks.

Unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye, but with the satisfaction of having learned a lot and with the fortune of having acquired techniques and skills in a trade that is currently booming, since coffee as the second most consumed beverage in the world, needs many actors including the Barista who is for us, after the Farmer one of the most important actors in the coffee chain, for this reason every day there are more interested in learning Barismo as a trade for some and also for others to be able to fully enjoy the benefits of this drink at home.
