Let's have a brief look at mission of this agency;

• Providing protection to participants of market from illegal activities and manipulation.
• Giving surety of integrity of commodity futures and swaps markets financially.
• Fostering a very open, competitive and sound market in terms of finance.
• Providing oversights and rules.

This agency oversees future contracts like commodities,indices and currencies as well as options at future contracts.This agency also oversees swaps,their rate of interest,their currency and their commodities.More over this agency is helpful in leveraging transactions so retails foreign exchange in this manner.

There are some of regulatory duties of this agency which are registration and oversees participation of market.This agency is responsible for setting standards and regulations for trading.As well as monitoring of activities of market regarding fraudulent activity is also responsibility of this agency as well as at last conducting different investigations is also a duty of this agency.
