Report as Steem Representative, 15.06.2024

Hello, dear readers!

In the past report and I wrote that I started experimenting with the promotion of Steem in Google Ads. To do this, I conducted the first test campaign. In this report, I want to focus on the results obtained.

Campaign

So, I wanted to take a little step away from covering the Steem blockchain solely as a place for talented bloggers. My campaign was aimed at people, let's say, connected in some way with money. I will not call them investors, it is too loud. My goal was to educate people about the existence of the Steem blockchain and some of its capabilities. The main thing is to interest people so that they continue to research on their own.

Campaign details:

Results

I have to apologize to you, all the given screenshots will be in Ukrainian, so I will comment on them in as much detail as possible.

So, the main results are the number of clicks and impressions of the ad:

I was able to get 328 conversions to the landing page, while the ad was shown 11,600 times. Since this was a trial campaign, I only spent $13 to run it.

Below is the keyword performance, most of which are suggested by Google itself:

The ad looked something like this:

I think you are interested in which countries had the most ad impressions. Judging by the map, India became the leader:

Since the map does not show in which other countries the ad was shown, I uploaded the data in the form of a table. The top 12 looks like this:

Mongolia surprised me the most. This is where the investments will flow from! 🤣

That's all, I won't bore you with statistics anymore, because there are many more. Let's move on to some conclusions.

A bit of positivity

The cost of one click was only about 4 cents. That is, for 4 cents you can introduce one person to Steemit. This is the most effective way of advertising that I have tried.

Unlike Instagram, where a person needs to be interested in good graphics, here you can choose the most informative landing page. You can tell your new visitors anything you want and explain it in detail.

This effective form of advertising has caught the interest of one of Steemit's leading witnesses. @xpilar allocated 500 STEEM to continue this particular ad campaign.

A couple of flies in the soup

Everything couldn't be perfect, could it? 🙂 Of course, after the campaign ended, Google blocked my account. I don't know exactly what he didn't like. I am currently trying to go through the identity verification process. However, I can't because Google says it knows who I am better and convinces me that I'm American. I will try to resolve this issue by creating a new account to still spend @xpilar's money as intended.

Dear community

I would be glad to hear your thoughts. Maybe you can recommend posts that can be used as landing pages. Perhaps you know better how to interest the right people, that is, bloggers, developers and investors, and not fraudsters and seekers of quick money.

Interesting results so far.

One suggestion worth considering is to include some calls to action on your landing page. Links to registering and perhaps Binance where people can buy STEEM. The Binance reference would add a layer of credibility.

I also wonder if it’s possible to target Binance users? Or links to those kinds of search via their interests? I think Google Ads can still segment users by their interests…?

Thank you. Some great tips. It is obvious that you are knowledgeable about this topic🙂. Certainly calls to action will not be superfluous, I did not think about it. All in all, I think I'll need to write a new landing page, but I can't find the time to do it yet.

I hope that more witnesses see that this is a good campaign for steem and that they can help support as sponsors

When I was doing the Facebook advertising for Popular STEM, it was running anywhere from 5 cents to 20 cents, depending upon the post. So yeah, four cents seems like a really good rate if it stays there consistently.

Side note: I found this conversation from my new (under development) browser extension, so it seems like it's proceeding in the right direction. 😀

I think such a price is determined by the geography of ad impressions. If the ads were shown in Europe or North America, it would cost much more.

I found this conversation from my new (under development)

You intrigued me. I already want to try out the new extension 🙂.

It's basically just a sketch at this point - nowhere near ready for anyone else. But, I can already see that there's a lot more conversation going on than what I have been aware of.

Good work on the Google Ads.

Hopefully you can use this vote to do another ad campaign.

Wow, that is a very substantial support. I can share the good news, Google has verified my account. However, for this he had to create another Google Ads account. I will now continue the advertising campaign with funds from @xpilar. Then I plan to create (or find) a new landing page and spend the funds from this vote on a new campaign.

Great report and a nice initiative.
I hope you get some good recommendations. 🤞🏻

There you have it: Your English is too good for a Ukrainian ;-)) Admit it!

😁 I still use a translator when I write (I read without a translator), it's just that I'm able to read the translation it gives me and I can tell when it's not translating the way I need it to.
