My dragon fruit flower

Today I show you my Hylocereus Undatus plant with its flower. This is a cactus that I love very much. I didn't know I had it at home until 18 months after it was given to me as a gift.

When I was given it as a gift I was told it would give me beautiful flowers but I never imagined it was the Pitahaya cactus until my friend sent me the picture of the first flower her plant had. That's when I found out which plant this flower corresponded to.

You can't even imagine my surprise when I found out that it was the cactus I had been wanting to have for the last 4 years. I placed it under my Opuntia but the strange cats used to fight there and always knocked it to the ground.
As soon as I found out it was my beloved cactus I moved it and now it is blooming for the first time.

It is a beautiful flower, with green petals surrounding it and inside very white petals that contrast with the abundant yellow pistils. Besides that it is a flower of nocturnal habits and opened during the night leaving a very sweet intoxicating fragrance. I was fascinated by the scent that filled my entire garden overnight.

I wonder how big that plant and the flower are. I never saw a flower like this. A blooming cactus is rare here.
Lucky you your friend had one for you. 🍀💖

Sometimes we exchange plants among the clients. It's good that way, nobody loses lol.

The pitahaya flower is as big as my mobile device the redmi note 9. about 30 or 35 cm. Bigger than the stem of the plant where it is born, Only the stem has aerial roots and holds on to the wall, in my case.

That is a huge flower. Great you can exchange plants. 🍀💖

Yes, it is true.

It's a beauty for sure. I lack the green fingers but can imagine how happy you are with it.

Everything about my plants gives me great pleasure.

Thank you for joining this contest. 👍
