Worst buy of 2023 is a Russel H. rice cooker. Not even once I managed to cook rice with it. I bought a very cheap one instead. The first two times my rice was good. With the cheapest rice, the cooker makes a mess. I can't leave it doing its job and the food gets burned. Today I try some tips I read.
If the water starts boiling the lid is lifted. I have no idea how to cook more rice with it. I washed the rice about 3 times, next I soaked it I water for several hours and washed it again (2-3 times). One cup of rice,
1.5 cups of water, tofu and vegetables (I will make nasi).
T hope the wet cloth on top of the lid will help to keep the lid down and absorb a part of the water. This cooker is fast. About 20 minutes plus 10 minutes resting.
The manual says it's better not to keep the rice warm for longer than 30 - 60 minutes. My experience is that it can not keep food warm for 30 minutes. It gets burned in short time. A plus: it's price, I can stean vegetables and fish with it plus it is the easiest pot to clean. I use it nearly daily.

Rice boiling like pasta should be the healthiest because of arsenic in rice.
