Camping back then

I'm not fond of it and the only time I've been camping and slept in a tent was as we drove through England. It was camping in the wild. One night and you leave.
The main reason why I do not like camping and camping places is because sharing a big field with many loud and drunk people is no fun to me. The way you have to spend your nightrest and days is not relaxing, no vacation. Lining up at public dirty toilets and showers is not my idea about vacation either.
How it works on a camping I am familiar with because I lived in what you might call a trailer on a trailerpark for several years (camping and tourists included) and I did travel with a motorhome. If it comes to the motorhome I must say mom traveled with it and I mainly slept. The bed was good, we had our own food and drinks (stove and fridge included) but no shower or toilet. So mom added a toilet to it and we let the shower for what it was (we had water though).
We drove around, had stops at different places in different countries and it wasn't bad at all because we had our privacy. I could watch films on the way or we listen to music.
The motorhome was a car built in 1970 so we didn't drive fast but were what we call touring around. We sat in the past, watched the world outside and visited different places, countries with our own home on wheels.

In my country there is no motor home culture. Therefore I have never lived that experience but I would like to enjoy it someday.
I think you lived many adventures in the motor home.
