Hello dear Steemians,

Today I'm going to tell you about a very good movie. I watched it today on the Netflix platform: "Mimi". A great Indian movie. I liked it very much and I recommend you to watch it.

The screenwriter and director of the movie are Samrouddhi Porey. The main theme of the movie is surrogate mothers. The movie is based on a real-life story. It is a situation where Indian women accept in exchange for money to give birth to the children of foreign nationals.
A foreign family comes to India looking for a surrogate to give birth to a child. They find Mimi, a poor village woman who accepts the offer. Mimi, a dancer, wants to be a movie star. She accepts this offer because she needs money.

During Mimi's pregnancy, the doctor informs the family that the child will be born with a disability. Hearing this, the family leaves India, abandoning Mimi and her unborn child. Years later, the estranged family sees Mimi and her children in a video. Seeing that their child is healthy, the family returns to pick up their child.

Although the ending of the movie is sweet, its message is very important. At the end of the movie, I would like to write these words shared with the audience here;

"If orphans were a country of their own, the population would rank 9th in the world. More than 153 million children are waiting for parents."

There is no comment...

"If orphans were a country of their own, the population would rank 9th in the world. More than 153 million children are waiting for parents."

That's a pretty powerful statement. Is it true?

I think it is true but I could not search for it. I took this information from the last part of the movie.
