The Sinner - much better than expected!

Have you ever gotten recommendations of TV series on Netflix that you should watch? Maybe you are ready this article looking for inspiration even? One of the best recommendations I have received so far this year was given by @netflixr as he told me to watch the series Messiah on Netflix. It was amazing, and now I only feel sad that there will be no more seasons of the show.

Another show many people have told me about is The Sinner. The title made me suspicious and quite skeptic, because it sounds like some sort of horror. I thought this was a Netflix original show, but I actually discovered writing this article that it is a US Network show, that can be streamed on Netflix.

The Sinner season 1

The first season of The Sinner will quickly grasb your attention. Jessica Biel is playing the role of Cora Tannetti, a woman that seems to have some trouble, but nothing suspicious about it. At least, until she suddenly does something very surprising and brutal in the first episode. What happened? It all looked so obvious and so clear.

The police quickly comes to the area to find out what has happened, and Cora Tannetti confesses all her sins. Everything seems to be fine, until Bill Pullman, playing the role of police detective Harry Ambrose shows up. He is a quite messed up guy himself, but for some reason, he decides to believe that there is more to the case than what everyone has seen and that Cora Tannetti has confessed doing. This takes him into a much more delicate matter!

There are two more seasons on Netflix. I have just started the second season, and it seems to be good so far.

What makes The Sinner interesting and good?

I find this to be interesting and good entertainment because it is like a box that just unfolds and unfolds the better you look into it. Just the outside looks interesting, but the more you dig into it, the more intricate and interesting it gets. That is why you will easily stream all eight episodes in a season and enjoy it, because this is great detective work!

It should also be mentioned that Jessica Biel was nominated for several awards based on her performance as Cora Tannetti in the first season of the show. She will not return for the future seasons, but Bill Pullman is a character that you will see in all three seasons of the show.

Who will like The Sinner?

I believe those who like a good crime story will enjoy this show. I did for sure :)
