Having watched and liked the first series, Dead Rising: Watchtower, I can say that the sequel, Dead Rising: Endgame, is as successful as the first at least. The sequel begins with two years after the epidemic, and in this period, 1.5 million people were inserted with chips called Zombrex. The action starts from the first minutes and you wouldn't lose attention to the movie. Fighting scenes against zombies with handmade tools are interesting.
In this sequel, we learn that the virus was produced by a company, and even new virus variant has been studied. The army, led by General Lyons, work with this company itself. They bring prisoners to be guinea pigs on experiments in an abandoned hospital, even kidnapping people who could harm the military, such as journalists. Zombrex vaccines and chips are not effective againts the new virus variant.
The army's goal is to retain the administration of the country by killing 1.5 million people with chips and allowing the new virus variant to infect people. I think the subject of the Dead Rising series is out of an ordinary zombie movie. Meghan Ory is not in this sequel, but another beautiful Marie Avgeropoulos. It seems from the end of the movie that a new series will come out.
