This is the story of Molly. No, not of Molly and her cat, although Grandma gave the little girl a little life while enjoying the summer holidays. It turns out the pet and Molly don't match. Let's say it all started with a... scratch.
How great it is to spend time with Grandmother. The two have fun together until the old lady arrives home with a cat. It seems like a great present but before the cat is put down Molly already realizes that there is something wrong with the new pet and within a short time she notices that her beloved Grandma cares more about the kitten than about her. Little is left of the person she knew.
It is clear the cat demands all attention and that Grandma enjoys the little creature. She only has eyes for the cat who is allowed to do considerably more than Molly and it seems that the granddaughter is demoted to the maid who is just barely allowed to be present in the house.

Molly sees something that Granny doesn't which is a mean cat and I see what she sees. The way the animal looks at the child is far from sweet and alarming. When the monster destroys the child's cuddly toy mouse, the only memory of... (we have to guess here but I suspect the parents) and Grandma responds with: Oh, he only wanted to play, it changes the nice girl. Does her true nature come out or do we see someone who defends her territory but is willing to go to extremes?

It is unclear what age Molly is but she is a small child with the amazing talent to find a way to get rid of the unwanted housemate (beating, drowning and electrocuting the cat that seems to be unable to die). Unfortunately, the only disruptor who always seems to be in the way is... Grandma.

Is Molly a psychopath as one of the comments says? Is this short film not suitable for children? To be honest, I think the comments left behind are exaggerated, as well as the so-called concern about children. The violence in average animations and games has always been high (think Tom & Jerry, The Looney Tunes, and Walt Disney) not to mention all the other violence that children are confronted with on a daily basis. I cannot imagine that a child can see a cat being chased but not notice the dirty tricks of the cat (in this case the looks also speak volumes) and the behaviour of grandma that is not that different from the average parent who also wants something other than being there for a child 24/7.

I saw the video, my opinion: I totally agree with you, there are few comics that do NOT have cruelty, we grow up observing this, what happens is that childhood is a time when we are ignorant and innocent, so we enjoy all this without analyzing it further.
It all depends on the parents, well if they are not immersed in their cell phone, children could be influenced to see some with different themes, I would do it by sitting down to watch with them and motivate them to follow the theme in others.
Now let's analyze Molly's behavior, she sees evil in the cat, but I do NOT believe that a cat carries evil, animals act on instinct.
The moral for me is: Try to be fair, the fact that she sees more attention in the cat than in her, is the trigger that could influence her mind and see what is not there.
Possibly the grandmother would give the same attention to both and the girl changes everything under her jealous mode, she could enjoy her pet and her grandmother by taking everything literally, everything is in the mind and the mind has a lot of power.

Are you sure that cat isn't the devil? I j just watched it with my youngest and we discussed the fact that the cat survived all the attacks. I doubt I would still this wasn't what I saw as I watched for the first time. I saw a little being replaced by a cat and a grandmother no longer caring for her and that hurts. Next to that the cat that cat destroyed something precious to her and again the grandmother didn't care. I saw the animal also give the girl a dirty look. The film ends by seeing how a little girl is the servant of an old woman and her cat. This gives me an awkward feeling as well.
Thanks for stopping and sharing what you see.

It's all in the girl's mind.
I didn't like the ending, it's like the girl is guilty and she's not, grandma must see what's happening, she's the guilty one.
Grandma is guilty hahaha.
I wish you a happy night

Thank you for your reward dear team 01 @mikitaly. It is good to know that films still can be appreciated on Steemit. Kind of sad there are not more #review since many if not everyone watches them.

Actually here on Steemit it's not a much searched tag... have you ever read @drax's rhyming reviews? They are very original and enjoyable to read.

Yes. AI does its best to repeat itself. Drax friend said it's not AI and he wrote this long before AI existed. I left a comment it's a pity he fools his friend and he lost his talent. Since it's a quick post and a reply cannot be expected I assume he doesn't speak one word English otherwise he would notice it himself. Still, I like the originality of the idea but he didn't write it.
my comment see the content for the result 👇

I don't believe he wrote this himself or AI taught him how to write poetry. He could use it if he added 20 short sentences with the key points of a film and asked to exactly use these sentences. That might save a bit of time but not too much. If those specialist in using AI could read they would notice the typical hand of AI themselves.
Btw, There are plenty reviews and the hashtag is used but posts don't show if the hashtag is not among the first 4. I noticed this with my own posts.

I think he uses Steemit to sponsor his blog and other social media. After all, Steemit is also a social. Too bad he's not interested in interacting with all steemians, he would get good publicity.
Probably as you say, today he gets help from AI but I think like you, the idea is cute and original.
I'm not against the use of AI, the important thing is to be honest and specify that it was used for the content or images, so that the reader knows what they are looking at or reading.
Then it's the conscious reader who chooses what to read.

Reviews I post on Steemit are derivative in nature. I'd like to point out there is a note on each post linking the original version of the review.

I agree. I did vote for a few out of support but won't do it again. I am not willing to help those grow who take the easy way out without even sayin "hello".
But next to that a bit of variety wouldn't hurt since all entries start looking the same if you read a few or so of the first lines. It's not attractive to open and read any longer.

Ok I just realized it is only 6 minutes long so I watched it now. I do not speak French but it really isn't necessary to get what is going on in the short. It's cute, a bit tragic, and is also quite funny. Nice choice!

Yes, that is what the short film is. Seems as if the popularity increases. YouTube idea or "lack" of time or not able to focus for longer than 10 minutes?
I must say in short films like these one has to. It's short, to the point and if you miss a detail
Wasn't there a second language or subtitle? indeed no need to understand what is going on. I can laugh about it but I guess a part of the commenters couldn't.
Who says every film/anime is produced for children?

I don't think very many people actually do say this.. haha. Although I do really admire most of what Pixar produces because although their primary audience is in fact children, they put subtle jokes in there that only adults would understand.

This isn't Pixar but made by students if a film school. It seems to be a trend from certsin tyoe of concerned parents. Those who grew up with Barbie, Tom & Jerry, Johnny Bravo and so on.
With Pixar and Disney it's the same. The jokes are for adults and children watch with a different eye.

I watched a cartoon with subtitles. Strange grandmother. Didn't she understand that her granddaughter would start to get jealous sooner or later? And that's not the best feeling...
