We all have watched so many movies on intelligence and spies but have you ever watched any movie or series based on a true story?

So today I am going to tell you about an amazing mini series of Netflix based on a true story of an agent.
It was released in 2019 by Gideon Raff consisting of 6 episodes

This series is about real character named Eli Cohen who was an Israeli spy working for Mossad. He wears a identity of a Syrian businessman Kamel Amin Thabet

PLOT

He started to work for his country and recruited as a spy and start training in 1959. Then he was sent to Argentina where his whole identity and documents were changed into a famous businessman of Syria and that work was done by a spy women.
That women help Kameel to get closer with the General Amin Al Hafiz who that time was a great potential leader of Syria. Kameel met him in Syrian embassy and asked Amin to take him in Syria.

In 1962 he went to Syria and start his work. Firstly he made his business more better and then started to make strong relations with highly placed officials.

After making strong relations with strong people he started to gaining top military and government information which he used to send back to his homeland(Israel) through radio transmitter.

His trust and influence on the government officials were too much that he began to give them advices on various critical and conditional matters.

By the passing of time Kameel was becoming more and more powerful and later he became Chief Adviser to the Minister of Defense.

But in 1965 he got captured by Syrian govt with the help of Russians.
Israeli govt tried all their best to take him back alive but he found guilty and was sentenced to Death. Syrian govt hanged him publicly in Damascus and closed his chapter forever.
