"School End Of the year/Christmas Party; (Funtime) "

I don't know about other countries, but most schools here in Nigeria usually have an end of the year/Christmas party. The essence of the party was to allow the pupils/students, teachers and, by extension, the parents to have fun.

The party usually differs from one school to another. For example, others cook to entertain the children, teachers and parents, others choose just snacks. And, in some schools, the children will exchange gifts with each other and some will have a staff party separate from that of the children.

However, despite the different ways in which such parties are usually organised, they all have the same aim: fun and more fun.

Like I wrote a few days ago, here it was awesome as I witnessed that at my school. I was at the event as a teacher and also as a parent. Like I stated, it was meant to just give children the opportunity to have fun and enjoy themselves after weeks of studying without rest.

The party in our school was meant for the children and teachers, as parents were not invited. The event kicked-started with the students leading in praises to God, followed by prayers. After the religious observations, the party started fully with presentations from different classes from the nursery, primary and secondary sections, which ranged from Christmas carols, dance and drama presentations. At the event to stir the atmosphere and fun was the presence of "Father Christmas."

After different presentations, the teachers also did their presentations, which stirred the admiration of the children.

The 3–4-hour-long event came to an end with a soft refreshment and the collection of the children's results. Then finally the departure of the children, followed by the staff of the school.
