Hello friends, greetings to you all
I'm @ibraheem75 from Nigeria, I'm so happy to participate on this beautiful contest organized by @memamun in this great community, before then I would like to invite @owulama, @echuku and @ruthjoe to also participate.
✍️Tell us a bit about your teaching and learning over the past week.
Over the past weeks of my teaching life in a new school I started teaching, it never been easy because of new environment and new students, I have to work harder compared to my former place of work, there are a lot of adjustments or changes but is same pattern as usual.
Some of the little differences is meeting new students with different attitudes and trying to adopt new approaches in handling them getting to know them and many more, gradually we are getting along at the moment and is a thing of joy 😊.
✍️What topics or lessons have you taught or learned? Tell us in detail.
Yeah, quite okay I've taught my students on different topics this term, coz I'm teaching Government and civic education, like in government, I taught them on a topic: Political socialization: Which can be defined as the process of acquiring political values and beliefs that guide our political activities in a state.
It was quite an interesting class, tying to educate the learners about politics it was amazing and the students loved it, coz I was able to educate them to see politics as there's need to be part of it not to see it on the other way round as people often said is a dirty game, as the class proceeded I then mentioned some of the agent of political socialization like family unit, institution, peer groups etc.
✍️How is your progress after teaching or after learning? Present here.
There's so much improvement right from the first week down to week seven, Which just ended today 25/10/2024, though it hasn't been easy with so much stress and trying to find ways to blend together with the new environment and new students, but I can boldly say we are practically doing fine right now, because as a Teacher it's our duties to find solutions to any form of difficulties among learners and must ensure we do that fast to promote teacher/learner's relationship for smooth learning environments.
In week -6 we actually observed first continue assessment test (1st CA test) this is to assess students performances right from the first week to this very level to ascertain the level of students performances whether change has taken place or not.
This act of evaluation is very common in so many institutions across the globe and I would be sharing a picture of me and my learners writing the test and test questions written by me on the board.
Thank you all for reading through my blog and thank you so much for your kind and wonderful support 🙏.
Warmest regards @ibraheem75.

First of all, congratulations on your appointment as a teacher in a new school. We must give thanks to God.
It is true that as a teacher, the first responsibility is to be sincere and familiar with the students. Which you did. Then I saw that you had discussed political socialization issues. Those who will improve their families and their morals.
It's also nice that you consider them through weekly tests. It's important for every organization. Good luck to you for the days ahead. And let all the students be well educated in your hands. Good luck to you.
