This is my second post in this growing community and I am happy that I can share here my experiences as a 1st grader teacher. I am teaching in a public school in 1st grader for almost 7 years already.

Our class starts at 6:30 in the morning. Before 6:30 am we will have a preparatory activity. We started with singing of the Philippine National Anthem to he followed by a morning prayer. While waiting for the others to come, I let them have a dance exercise.

At 6:30 am I will start checking the attendance of 21 boys and 18 girls plus 8 sit-in pupils. I then starts my Good Moral and Right Conduct or the GMRC class for 40 minutes. These are our subjects for the whole morning with 40 minutes per subject:

• GMRC
• Makabansa
• Reading and Literacy
• Language
• Mathematics

The rest of the time before 11:15am is our remediation in reading and writing. Also a time for me to clean the room.

I have no time to eat my breakfast at home so I eat it when the pupils are writing. Fore, breakfast is an important meal and I should not skip it.

I choose healthy breakfast with low carbohydrates. I love rice ever since but when I look at my body on the mirror, I am convinced to have a diet. I have read a words from an article,
"Stop eating when you are satisfied, not when you are full".

At 9:30am is our snacks time. I didn't eat something because I am satisfied with what I eat and I am not hungry.

At 11am, I prepared the class for the remediation in reading and writing. Then at 11:15 I dismissed them. I cleaned the whole room by sweeping the floor and mop the floor before arranging the chairs. Cleaning after class is important because at 12noon, the grade 2 pupils in the afternoon session will use our room.

I clean the room everyday because grade 1 pupils can't carry wooden chairs. I just let them sweep their floor area before going out to lessen my work and to teach them cleanliness.

After I clean and arranging the chairs and tables, I prepare to go out. I took my lunch out.
