Hello Diary,
I am not confused about where I would fit most because I am both a student and a teacher, or should I call myself a student-teacher not yet certified? Anyone can be a teacher of another, if only you have learnt more than what your students know. That is why the statement "you can't give what you don't have" is true. Definitely, to be a qualified teacher, you need to obtain a certain level of knowledge and then get certified.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
---|
Today what I will be sharing is very special. I will be sharing this as a teacher in the religious setting. In our religion, we organise certain activities. Children and adults play different roles to get more acquainted with the scriptures and pass messages to people. The role they play could be in the form of drama, recitation of several scriptures, etc., all taught by a teacher. If you have never understood or been a teacher in this department, you may not be able to guide these children, because a day set aside for them to present themselves before the church is like a day of reckoning where the child will display talent as well as what they have learnt from the teacher.
A week is always given to help them practice more; functions are allocated to each child, and the teachers are to guide each child to make sure they attain a bit of perfection.
REASON FOR LATE COMING |
---|
This is a day of reckoning; as you can see, my kids are in their numbers. The turnout was impressive, but the issue is that most of them came after the Sunday school class. Their excuses may be that since today is special, their parents had to take time to make them look at their best costumes, but I am not in to take any excuses from them. Anyway, I tempered justice with mercy only for those that have been in the rehearsals. It's general council children's day in the Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, and we, the teachers, and our pupils are to present ourselves before the church. Our pupils are going to represent us well to show that the one week of rehearsals was not a waste.
NON-CORPORAL PUNISHMENT |
---|
Presentation/Matching in |
For my pupils who did not come to rehearsal, I didn't allow them to march in with others, and they won't join in any presentation even though they have something to present. This is the rule I place so they would take the children's day seriously next year. I forgot to tell you that this is done annually, so a pupil who is not serious about joining will have to wait for a full year. After this Sunday gathering, I presented books and pens to my pupils to spur up their interest. It ended well; each child was supported by the congregation with offerings and lots more. This day ended in prayers of blessings and guidance to them (our future leaders).
I would love to see entries from @hahdie @usoro01 and @bossj23
