Hello everyone, good evening to you all and welcome back to my blog. Hope you all had an awesome day today. I'm so glad participating in this week challenge again.

Assume, that at this time a pandemic occurs. Make online learning materials by the material you master as a teacher or teacher (you must be the one who delivers the material). Duration at least 5 minutes and make it at least according to the existing examples, or you can add your creativity. (6 points)

A description of the material you create, so that it can be understood by many other users. (2 points)

Imagine a World where they is nothing to degrade our waste products, image a situation where refuse bin fills up the whole place, have you ever imagined how irritating and unpleasant that can be? Welcome to the world of Microbes, the organisms has been saving us for ages. So many methods which includes physical, Chemical and physio chemical treatments were used to degrades pollutants both their advantages outweighs their disadvantages. Majority of them, their by-products were toxic until the discovery of bioremediation.

What is bioremediation

This is a process that utilities Microbes such as fungi and bacteria to degrade toxic pollutants. One good thing about this method is the fact that is environmental friendly.
Is a natural process that utilities living organisms such as bacteria, fungi and plants to degrade contaminates in the environment. Over the years, it has been successfully used do degrade Hydrocarbon, heavy metals, Nuclear and Industrial wastes. This approach of cleaning up the environment has really helped in restoring balance in our environment.

Importances of Bioremediation
  • Environmental Cleanup

Bioremediation helps remove pollutants and contaminants from the environment, restoring ecosystem balance.

  • Cost-Effective

Bioremediation is often less expensive than traditional remediation methods thereby reducing economic burdens.

  • Sustainable

Bioremediation uses natural processes, making it a sustainable solution for environmental cleanup.

  • Non-Invasive

Bioremediation often requires minimal site disruption, preserving ecosystems and habitats.

  • Reduces Toxicity

Bioremediation breaks down toxic substances, thereby reducing harm to humans and wildlife.

  • Supports Biodiversity

Bioremediation helps restore ecosystems, promoting biodiversity and ecosystem services.

Bioremediation plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy environment, supporting ecosystem balance, and ensuring a sustainable future.

Types of Bioremediation

  • Insitu Bioremediation

This is the type of Bioremediation that involves treating contaminated soil or ground water at the point of contaminated without removing it.

  • Ex-situ Bioremediation

This type of Bioremediation involves removing contaminated soil or water from the point of contamination to another place and then treating it in a bioreactor.

The major difference between the two of them is that insitu is more economical, while Ex-situ is much expensive and much more controlled.

Types of waste product that can be remediated by Bioremediation.

  • Heavy metals example Mercury,

  • Hydrocarbons example cyclic and straight chain hydrocarbons.

  • Pharmaceutical waste example used syringes.

  • Pesticides example DDT, PCBs, dioxins.

  • Fertilizer example Nitrates, Phosphates.

Is it important for a teacher or instructor to have communication skills? Why is it important and why not? (1 point)
  • Effective lesson delivery

Having good Communication skills will help teachers to teach students in the way they will understand.

  • Interactive Class

It will also help teachers to create an environment whereby students be themselves and understand effectively.

  • Building trust

It will also help the Teacher to establish long lasting trust with Students.

  • Managing Students Behavior

Human beings are different, effective Communication skills will help a teacher to understand and manage different students.

What experiences do you have when creating these online learning materials, and what obstacles do you face? (1 point)

Some of the Challenges I faced while creating this Video includes the following.

Because this was my FaceTime of doing this, at the beginning I was stuttering because I couldn't remember all the things I wanted to say, but at some point I flowed.

  • Internet Connection

There was unstable Internet connection when I created this Video and I tried so many times before I finally uploaded it.

  • Video Quality

My phone camera is very poor, so I had to wait till my sister whose phone Camera is good came back before I did this Video.

  • Time consuming

I had to do this Video multiple times before I finally got what I wanted.

I really learnt a lot in this class, all thanks to the teacher. Thanks for reading my post, I invite @basil20, @m-fdo and @dhira to participate in this contest.
