My Favorite Lesson #1: PTI (Physical Training Instructions).

in hive-167213 •  3 days ago

Hello, friends, I am here today to participate in the contest organized by @fajrularifst. Different students like different lessons. But, according to my knowledge, our favorite lesson helped us to be masters of that subject. The reason for that is that when we like a subject, we love the teacher also. This helps us to learn that subject eagerly. Because of that, we can showcase our talent well. Now, let’s move to the contest.

What was your favorite lesson in school, explain why you liked that lesson.

In my school days, my favorite lesson was PTI (Physical Training Instruction). We had two periods every morning on each day. It has several reasons for liking this subject. The first thing was that I love the environment a lot. Hence, learning outdoors brought me immense happiness. Another reason was that I like sports very much. In that PTI period, we had enough time to engage in exercises and play on the playground with our friends. In that period, we stayed in lightly without getting any responsibility and without stressing about lessons.

And also engaging as a group in sports brought us a big thrill. It gave us a chance to learn more new rules and regulations about games. We were happy to gain natural vitamin D from the sun every morning. This period helped us to boost our overall well-being. Because of all these reasons, PTI became my favorite lesson in my school.

What achievements have you made with your favorite lesson?

Because of my favorite lesson, I gained many achievements. Every morning, PTI madam engaged with us some exercises and then requested us to engage in any game that we liked. Therefore, we took that opportunity to practice netball and volleyball, which were our favorite games. Because of that, we could win many interschool, district, and all-island games. Not only netball, but we could win volleyball tournaments also. Our physical training, helped us play without getting tired. I believe those physical training instruction lessons helped us to gain many achievements in inter-school, district events, and all island events.

Share memories with the teacher who taught the lesson.

I can recall our sports teacher praising us (my friend Chandi and me): “When these two girls are playing, the ground is shaking." She meant that we played well. Another day, when we went to another school for a game, while I was reading a newspaper in my free time, my sports teacher asked me, "What are you doing?". Those days I was not clever in English. So, I replied, "I am watching a newspaper".

Then my teacher corrected me, "It should be reading; watching can be used when you are watching television." That day, as a student, I learned how to use reading and watching in the correct places.

Share the material you like/are good at from the lesson; give an explanation so we can understand it too.

As I previously mentioned, I like sports. As well, I like to stay outdoors. Therefore, learning by staying outdoors brought me immense happiness. Physical exercises helped to improve my game. Because of that, I could show my talents well. Not only volleyball and netball, but through track and field events like 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump, and high jump. In addition, I could show my talent in discus throwing.

Sports lessons are loved by many students, but now that you are older than when you were in school, do you still do sports or PTI regularly?

I think every student loves physical education lessons outside of class, it's a fun time and any teacher who teaches these lessons is usually loved, but by the way don't you remember your teacher's name?

With your talent in some of these sports, we would love for you to share a technique, maybe how to throw a discus well? We are waiting, and want to try it.

Yes, I can remember my teacher. She is Ms. Devika. I mentioned her name in my blog.
