Hello everyone this is the most important topic which we are going to discuss is research.
I will try my best to do better.
Topic of the mini research: ’Time management and it’s relevance to students’

The research must be carried out by the students because it will assist them to appreciate the importance of managing ones time in a correct manner for the sake of their improvement. This research will assist students to examine their current methods of time management and proffer methods of enhancing them. It will also be attaining the aim of offering them a practical experience of how to conduct a research project using the interview method as a means of data collection and improve on their communication and research skills.

Problem 1:

What do students do presently concerning the timetable? Do they know how much time is relevant for their academic performance and their development as students?

Interview questions:

  1. May you please explain your daily routine; how many hours are you spending on school work, do you engage in other activities, how do you spend your spare time?
  2. Do you know how time management can affect your academic and personal life?
  3. : How do you approach it or execute projects that require timely completion?
  4. Are you aware of any form of time management tools and methods like calendars, to-do list or alarm? If yes, which of them, and what level of effectiveness do you give to them?

Problem 2:

Here is what students often experience and how they can switch things around:

Interview questions:

  1. What are the biggest problems, which people observe while trying to manage time successfully?
  2. Sometimes, you are given several assignments to complete within a given time or several deadlines set for the same task What criteria do you use to organize yourself?
  3. Have you ever effectively planned or otherwise controlled your time, and if so, what was it like and how did it affect your academic achievements or character?
  4. Would it be helpful always to consult your teachers/parents/peers on how to manage your time properly? If yes, how?

After that, the students will be formed into small groups and every group will have to do a research using questions prepared for the interview. The teachers will watch every activity the students perform, take photographs and record videos and then explain to the students what they need to do during their research.

As the students progress through the research, some useful facts are discovered, for instance the setting of realistic objectives, proper planning, task prioritization, task division, and the seeking of help. Of course, time management patterns might also help students realize the importance of discipline and a healthy life setting.

Possible conclusions of the research results could be established anticipation of good working habits concerning time effectiveness right from childhood, communication between students, teachers, and parents regarding time management and the use of technology to monitor work load.

Weaknesses of the students during the research might include:

  1. The challenge of being able to ask questions in a way that would elicit more comprehensive answers from the subjects of interviews.

  2. Lack of objectivity and neutrality in the course of listening to the responses given by the interviewee.

  3. Stuck with the task to analyze the results of the interviews and synthesize the obtained knowledge.

  4. Inability to conclusively deduce from the findings of the research.

To develop their analytical skills in the future, teachers can focus on:

  1. Facilitating students in developing skills of using open-ended questions and listening during interviews.
  2. Challenging student to engage in critical analysis of research finding by putting on their thinking and problem solving caps on.
  3. None of these is more important than the other and they include encouraging the students to work in groups and also share the work with other members of a group.
  4. Giving the students more assignments that would involve their analytical abilities and force them to relieve the information in a novel way.

Thus, this mini research project on the time management for students helps them to also get a firsthand feel on how to use the interview method as well as review their current time management behaviour and seek ways on how to enhance it. The conclusions developed throughout this research may help to understand how crucial effective time is to improve learners’ productivity as well as beneficial skills. In this regard, if the teachers define the weaknesses identified on students during the research, it will enable them to advance their ability to conduct more research and become more competent researchers in the making.
