I convinced myself with every reason to publish this piece of writing, wish someone invest little of his/her time in this blog.
It's the month of December as we all should know. What comes to most of us's minds when we hear the word "December" is Christmas, a period appointed by almost all Christians in the world to celebrate the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, who came into this world and died for our sins to give us life, even though he was blameless.
During this season or month rather both Christian and non Christian worshipers anticipate that great day with all the possible preparations or arrangements so they could embrace the day with positive minds.
Well, the purpose of this post isn't actually to discuss what happens during this festive, but a suggestion in finding solution to some arguments which most Christians faces for celebrating Christmas.
This challenge has been common, seems it's been climaxed on a daily. It's obvious also, that most Christian celebrate Christmas yet don't why they do so, neither knows who they celebrate. We go to church if not every day but every week Sunday, some Friday and some Saturday depending on our respective doctrine , and I'm sure Bible is being read in the church, we does also at our homes and places of works but never understand the life of who we celebrate.
Understanding the life of Jesus through Bible
The word "Bible" as it's known means, "Books". Book of books you can call it, it contains everything. It includes every type of book you can imagine, so it can't be understood by reading it RANDOMLY.
While having a conversation with a leaneth friend of mine, an expert in this field of the word of God @dominic12,
he made known to me how to read and understand the birth and life of Jesus Christ and why we celebrate him.
I recalled that someone introduced me to this Bible reading challenge last year around this period but never took part ๐, and I see a great need for it and decided to be part of this challenge which I want you all reading me to do same.

According to the image he sent to me, the gospel of Luke has 24 chapters and there is a demand to read one chapter everyday, being it in the morning or anytime at all but at least a chapter every day. So on the 24th day of December being the Christmas even, the whole gospel of Luke will be read and we will wake up the following day of Christmas and much understanding of why Christ is worthy to be celebrated.
One may ask why Luke and not any other gospel , either Mathew, Mark or John? The answer is that, actually it's according to the Catholic calenders. This year is the 3rd year according to Catholic calender, its called year c. So how it's being done is that, every year has it's own gospel reading throughout the year. Year A is for the gospel of Matthew, B is for Mark and C is for Luke, that's just it .
Even so, you can choose any other gospel, either Matthew which has 28 chapters then try to read and complete before Christmas or Mark which has just 16 chapters or even John, which has 21 chapters. Both gospels gave an account of the life of Jesus Christ.
- Note that:
there is a great need to chose Luke over other gospels because more than others, Luke was a doctor and as such, he tried to give in details and accurate account of Jesus Christ.
