Good afternoon memebers of the SteemAlive community, I am happy to once again be able to post my diary and tell you all about my day.
7am
I woke up early because I was suppose to go to the burial of my Grand Uncle ( the brother of my late grandfather) so from my place in school, I took my bath and went to my uncle's house so we can go to the village together.
11am
Before leaving for the village we made some stops to get drinks and to buy goat meat for the ceremony. It's a celebration of life because the man was 90 years and he was the eldest of the Umunna. I am Igbo and from Enugu state, Nsukka LGA. This experience was a step back because yesterday I had an exam and I seriously needed a break.
3pm
I came home to the village to see family and was welcomed with open hands. My aunties had alot of children running around and I had to start making new friends and cramming their names. I found out that today is the wake keep and actually tomorrow is the burial ceremony. But coming back home was a great idea, I have missed this feeling of peace and quite.
5pm
Everybody seemed busy as we got ready for the burial ceremony tomorrow. I came around to the kitchen to steal meat :) and have a little chat with my cousins and aunties in the kitchen.
7pm
I spent time with the kids, to me it was really funny how they enjoyed cartoons, they all stared in amazement.
10pm
The Revend Father started the wake keep mass for Papa Ogbuishi and the choir sang sweet melodies, Goodnight Steemit thanks for sharing my day with me.
