@Steemalive City Cordinator's Report for Nasarawa State (week: 16th-22ndAugust , 2021) Presented by @charis20

Hello @steemalive and @steemitblog. I am so pleased to bring forward my report for the week just ended in my city. This week was so eventful as we engaged in a lot of recruitment, training and rewarding. Here are the highlight of the activities.

Training Activities

We have engaged in a daily coaching for both our old and new members who are yet to find their way around the system, we chose to do it on a daily basis because waiting till our meet up day will not present us with all the time to do that. This we do using both physical and our online platform.

Engagement

We have two whatsapp platforms, one is for our general interaction and the second is for post links. The purpose for creating these groups is to help foster engagement among the members as it is very important for our growth in the system. We have a standing rule which is that we do not accommodate any post that is not made in @steemit platform, also we do not accommodate copy and paste work, before you drop a link to your post, you most comment on at least 3 previous links. The WhatsApp platform is really serving it purpose.

Recruitment

This week, I successful recruited two more personsinto our team. Their username are @fasacity here is his introductory post and @ochiba here is his introductory post. Immediately after their recruitment, I helped them to join the @steemalive curation trail, they are yet to make a post in the community which will qualify them for the community's verification label.

Printing of Our Promotional Materials

This week we were able to print some publicity materials exclusively for promoting the activities of steemit in our city and beyond. This became so never because of how fast we are growing and we saw a need to also brand our daily life with what we preach.

We were able to produce a flier, 4/4 banner and t-shirts. To us it was a great achievement because when we see how other cities appear during their meet ups we so much admire them and desire to get there someday which we have began the trip.

We spent 80 steem for the production of our promotional materials. We still have in mind to have more promotional materials like stickers to place on cars, calendar

Meet-Up

We held our meet up this week at the college of education with the intention to create more awareness of who we are in the city. We are happy that we are gaining more grounds as people come around to see what we do. Five persons where in attendance all branded with the new t-shirt.

• We had some talk on the need to increase our steem power as steemit is a game of steem power.
• We also learnt the importance of joining the curation trial
• Everyone agreed to pay for his or her t-shirt in steem so as to help support what we preach too.

The meet up was a great one indeed.

My Plans

• Engage in more training so that more people will get to know their way around the system.
• For more persons to be verified in @steemalive community
• Help those that are inactive to be active
• Recruit more persons in the city
