A FOOTBALLER

I actually started my carrier as a footballer, I played: amatured leagues, State leagues, Ministerial leagues and professional leagues. My last club was Nasarawa United Premier Foofball Club Division one. I left them and went to school. The reason been that, Nigerian football without a godfather you are nobody, you wound go to anywhere.

There in school, from 2002- 2005, I became famous because of my ability in football, even the management liked me. There was this all tertiaries institution games played within the school, we made the college of education proud and we where given scholarship for one year, in 2003, I became the best player during the concluded governor's cup that year, that gave me the zeal to inspire for the post of Sports Director via Student union Government. I won in 2004, and I became the football school captain respectively.

After my school, I intended to further my football carrier in Ukraine, but because of lack of sponsorship, I couldn't make it. I actually got a school in Ukraine, to study and play football at the same time, but there was no money, no resources to go to Ukraine, I was supposed to leave Nigeria to Ukraine on the 15th of November 2007, because I couldn't go, that demoralizes my football spirit.

I took my first appointment with Universal Basic Education, at Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State in 2008, as I was working with UBE, I put up an employment letter with my former school as well,"College of Education Akwanga", after a year with UBE, teaching in Laminga town, in 2009 on the 12 January, I secured a job with College of Education Akwanga. With my Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE), considering my contribution in sports in the institution, I was employed as the assistant sports coordinator, after some years I further my education and graduated with B.ed Language Arts.

Furthermore, I decided to write for a change of cadre, I was granted for the change from non academics to academics, I left the sport unit and became an academician in English language department where I am presently now.

Wow! Sports fits you well sir.
You are right about nigeria with the spirit of godfatherism.
So many dreams were swept under the mat for lack of godfather.
