Hello, community members and Steemit friends, hope you are doing great today. Quite a long time I posted a food diary and I'd like to share a session of me cooking a local delicacy of the mixture of Rice and beans. Let's take a ride together on this piece of food diary.

The Making of the Mixture of Rice and Bean
Just as the title sounds, we are cooking rice and beans together in the same pot, although, there are other things apart from raw rice and beans to be added to make the delicacy a great one and I'd like to share them under the ingredients below.

First of all, I chose to fry two of the plantain I would be combining with my mixture of rice and beans. The frying of the plantains was done by using vegetable oil, the brand known as Kings. Take a look at the images below.
Now, I washed the 0.15kg of beans in clean water and set it on the cooking gas stove. See the images below.
I allowed the beans to cook for a period of 20mins after which I took them off the stove and drain the water away. I put the 0.15kg of rice in a bowl, washed it, and poured it into the pot which contained the partially cooked beans. See the images below.
Now, I added salt to the mixture, I used 1 teaspoon for the salting and I made sure it's minimal, and it's added to taste. And I set the mixture on the stove to cook.
I allowed the mixture to cook for 30mins. This is the normal time it takes to make the mixture to be fully cooked. In addition, I warmed my egg stew which was made yesterday. The stew is made of tomatoes, Chilli peppers, onions, stock cube, and salt, all fried with vegetable oil. See the images below.
The mixture of rice and beans, fried plantain, the stew is ready to be eaten. So, I served the mixture of rice and beans on an eating plate, and other stuff was added to it.
It's a yummy meal I consume a lot, it can be served with fish or meat sauce but I chose to use boiled egg for this edition. I hope you had a great read of my food diary today. Thanks and see you in other ones.

I so much ate this delicacy when I was in the university then, and I still have the culture running in my blood till now 😆 😆. This is the best way I prefer eating my white rice, cooked together with beans. You should come around to have a taste 😆. Thanks for visiting my post, @barbabie.

I so much appreciate it when guys like u take time to cook ,I think with this quality u will think less when a woman try to do shakara with food cooking
