INTRODUCTION

It's good to be here again, I appreciate every steemian, we are all great people doing the needful from all angles of life as the occasion demands. I will be taking us through on how I usually prepare beans and ripped plantain for my family, Which is my son's favourite, without ripped plantain, he hardly eat beans. Let's go.

INGREDIENTS ARE:

  • BEANS.
  • RIPPED PLANTAIN
  • RED PALM OIL
  • PEPPER
  • GINGER
  • GARLIC
  • ONION
  • MAGGIE CUBES
  • SALT.
Peeled ripped plantain and other ingredients.

METHOD OF WASHING AND COOKING OF BEANS AND RIPPED PLANTAIN MEAL

Step 1
Get your clean cooking pot ready, put clean water into it and put on your cooking gas.

Step 2
Pour your beans seed into the pot on fire and allow to boil like 2 or 3 minutes, make sure it has boiled a little, then bring the pot down. It's time to wash out both the hidden stones,chaffs and the chemical the seller had used to preserve the beans from weaves attacks. Also peel off the back of the ripped plantain and chop them to reasonable tiny sizes and keep it.

Step 3
Get a bigger bowel, your sieve, your spatial add more water to the hot beans as you have poured it into that bigger bowel.

Step 4
Start sieving the hot beans from the bigger bowel to another bowel by using your spatial to turn it and sieve, turn it again and sieve until the whole beans are sieved from one bowel to the other, remember sieving I mean here involves shaking your hands gradually. Transfering all that are here to the other place. Just look into the bowel you will see all those hidden stones and chaffs staying put at the down of the bigger bowel where you have been gradually transfering the beans from that bowel to another by a gradual shaking of your hands and the bowel, leaving behind the stones, chaffs and the preservative chemicals that has turned the water black as you can see here.

Do this sieving method two times, that will make sure that all the hidden stones chaffs and chemicals has been washed away your beans now is free from all those. Never you just take water, wash your beans and cook. You will in turn be eating those toxic preservative chemicals which can become very harmful to the body causing one sickness or the other. It's not good. You will also be wasting so much time if you start picking stones and chaffs one by one before cooking your beans. You may not even be able to pick out all the hidden stones but by this washing method, believe me all the stone will be resting at the bottom of the bigger bowel when you look into it you will see so many of them and your bean meal freed from the sturbon attacks of hidden stones big and small, chaffs and the harmful preservative chemicals used to hinder weaves.
Step 5
After sieving it take another water and wash the beans. Put it into your cooking pot on the fire allow it to boil again then pour out that water out again. Then pour in another fresh water and start the real cooking.
Step 6
Allow it to boil a little check if the bean has become soft then add the rest of your ingredients plus the ripped plantain which you have already removed the backs and chopped small, small, add your blended ginger, garlic, fresh pepper,red oil, onions, Maggie, turn it and allow to finish cooking.
Your beans and plantain meal is very much ready enjoy the meal.

myself adding all the ingredients, mixing them together and tasting the beans and plantain, it's done.

  • BEANS: which contains proteins needed for our body building and replenishment of worn out tissues of human body regularly and generally. Beans makes growing children look healthy and strong also building their immunity.

  • PLANTAIN: plantain contains iron and fibre which goes a long way protecting us by giving us strength and energy needed for our daily activities, thereby balancing our whole body postures.

*RED PALM OIL: Red palm oil is also needful in our body, it contains vitamin A which helps us see clearly with our eyes. Red oil is also a lubricant to the bones in our body. It helps the bones to avoid bone fractures and frictions.

Ginger and Garlic: These two cooking ingredients work hand in hand maintaining the human body. They keep our heart healthy while performing their daily duties of pumping blood to keep the whole body healthy and alive. Makes us digest the food in the body and it's also for garnishing meals.

  • ONION chopp your onion and add to the meal, we know that onion has so many benefits to health. Which is a good way of adding vitamins.

  • PEPPER I blended both pepe, ginger and garlic together to bring out the aroma, taste and for garnishing the meal too.

  • Maggie cubes I used 3 cubes of a particular brand of Maggie to make sure that the meal tastes delicious and it did.

  • SALT The duty of salt in a meal is to perfect the work of every other ingredients in the meal. Any cooked food void of salt may not give out it's perfect taste, so salt was added just a little to perfect the taste and it did just that. But know it that too much salt works against the human health .
    I add salt last to all my meals because I know Maggie cubes has some salty taste, after tasting to know how far, then I will either add salt or leave the meal as it is.
