Long before the present dispensation, our fire fathers used herbs, roots, leaves, barks of trees with medicinal Value to handle every manner of ailment.

While displaying much dose of native intelligence, they could tell on their finger tips the efficacy of each material assembled. With mortality rate then, if statistics is anything to go by very low, one can conveniently say, they succedded.

One notably factor that aided longevity then and efficacy of these herbs was the availability and choice of food. They never gave room for, talkless eating junk food. They ate more if fruits and vegetables, most times drink only clean, sparkling natural water from the unpolluted streams all around us.

They maintained enviable and disciplined health rules.They did not eat nor drink for the sake of filling the stomach. Consumption of hard drugs was almost a taboo then.

To investigate or diagnose any patient brought to them, they used highly ingenous ways like colour if the urine, stool, eyes, tongue, shape of the palm as well as their psyche.

One if the greatest things to happen to man was the depth of invention and innovation that heralded technological breakthroughs in the health care service delivery system.

The developed world did and has continued to wear their thinking cap, applying themselves and future generation to enhanced quality education, embracing both scientific and technological curriculum, in addition to skills acquisition that led to these equipments brought to our rescue.

These health care equipment have gone a long way to proving being every reasonable doubt that all these findings are ideal, hence reducing the high mortality rate.

       Functions of these Equipments

Stethoscope - This is the medical tool used by Medical Doctors to know the workings of the internal human organs and the body system like heart, palpitation etc before settling down for treatment of the patient brought to the health care facility.

Microscope - This particular equipment magnifies tiny microbes, germs and other objects that normal human eyes cannot see properly. By examining it with microscope, the medic could now understand the nature and chararistics of the germ, bacteria etc.

Usually, these germs and bacteria are hardly seen with naked human eyes.

Blood Pressure Apparatus - Greater number of health care providers use the blood pressure Apparatus to know the state of a person's blood situation, as to whether it is high, low, normal in order to properly guide the person.

Recall, Nurses,Laboratory personnel, pharmacists and others could randomely be seen using this particular tool in going about their practices.

There are two institutions I do not like to find myself in for reasons I cannot immediately explain; these are Police Stations and Hospitals.

However, with the turn of events in a society with myriads of problems, situations arise when I could not avoid such places.

Time has gone when I moved with agility, engaged in tasking sporting exercises. I could even walk ling distances, but that was in the past.

At the moment, there is from time to time breakdown due to I'll health occassioned by age. And in such a case, I am accompanied to the Government Health Centre for medical attention - diagnostics and treatment.

My observation is that, even with much technological improvement in health care, there is still room for improvement

In some cases, even when a Scanning Machine shows twins,btriplets, quadruplets, etc, at the end the reverse is the case. The woman ends up being delivered of a baby. That is a proof that something some where needs to be retouched.

But this does not mean these great men and women Technologists and scientists spearheading these inventions do not deserve accolades for their uncommon feats.
While urging and encouraging them not to rest on their oars until more outstanding inventions are recorded, I wish to draw their attention to the need to look beyond their continents and regions by supporting sincerely the efforts of the so called third world countries to work hard and join the technological revolution train that is already steaming!
