This is all about invisible sexual discrimination issue I learn from social news or people around me. Because I have been living in Asia since I was born, I do not know whether this kind of situation will also occur in Western countries.
If people are applying jobs in Asian countries, female tend to be asked about questions which male will never be asked about like: when do you plan to get married; when do you plan to have a baby; if you already have a baby, do you plan to have a second baby because now the one-child policy has been canceled. I try to understand the logic behind these questions: the whole society reckons that women should and will take more responsibilities of these household chores and taking care of the next generation, so actually women are asked about whether and how long they can devote all their efforts into their jobs. Moreover, it makes me angry that they think men do not need to take care of the new born baby and take part in domestic chores; in other words, they think men should and will only concentrate in their work and place all the stress of family duties on women. Also, they think if a girl becomes a wife and a mother, she will no longer be considered as a person that has her owns and ambitions and want achieve more personal values. As a result, if female applicant gives the company a message that she is planning to have a baby or other signals like that, then she will never be the candidate to get a promotion or even worse- she will not get job offer.
This kind of discrimination made it so tough for women to get a job and put us in a unfavorable place when competing with men of the same qualifications.
