Egusi is commonly among the Igbo people of southeastern Nigeria, the Ibibio people and the Efik people of Southern Nigeria, the Hausa of northern Nigeria and the Yoruba people, Edo people, Esan people, and Etsako people of the southwest of Nigeria.

Egusi Soup Ingredients

Egusi Soup is made from the following;
Onions.
Egusi melon seeds, ground or milled.
Palm oil
Fresh Une Iru, locust beans
Fresh pepper
Salt to taste
Ground crayfish to taste
Stock Cooked Meat & fish
Pumpkin leaves
Bitter leaf washed(optional)

Egusi Soup can be eaten with Eba, fufu, pounded yam, wheat, semo etc.
