Hello Steemians and Steemalive community, I'm delighted that I belong to such a great platform where I have people that are ready to read my article and equally support me. Moreso, I believe that we're enjoying our day. Today, I will share how I prepared a delicious white rice and stew with a little amount of money. I indulge you to have a reading pleasure...
INTRODUCTION
It is a norm that every cooking begins with the market. You must first write a list of items needed for the cooking and also go to purchase them. Well, here are the list of items I needed for the delicacy:
- Rice
- Fresh tomatoes
- Tin tomato
- Beef
- Crayfish
- Curry leaf
- Maggi cubes
- Stockfish
- Vegetable oil
- Pepper
- Stew seasoning
- Onions
Due to I have most of the listed items, I bought few and here are the one I bought with their prices:
Items | Price in naira |
---|---|
Fresh tomatoes | 300 |
Beef | 500 |
Total | 800 |
THE FOOD PREPARATION
I started with boiling the rice. I measured out three cups of rice from my rice container and cooked it. I put a pot of water on fir and washed the rice thoroughly and poured everything inside it when the water has boiled. after few minutes, I sieved out the first water washed again and poured it back inside a pot of water for the final cooking. I prepared the things I needed for my stew as I cooked the rice.
THE STEW PREPARATION
When the rice was cooked, I steamed the beef. After that, I poured my blended fresh tomatoes mixed with the tin tomato into a pot and put it on fire. After few minutes, I added vegetable oil and allowed the concussion to fry for little lengthy time until the water in the tomato mixture dried up. The next things I added were the maggi cubes, stew seasoning, steamed meat and salt. Meanwhile, I added the stockfish, ground crayfish with pepper and curry leaf at the beginning. It took about 30 minutes for the stew to get ready to be served.
CONCLUSION
Cooking has been what I love doing and the amazing part is the sweetness of the stew despite the amount I spent on the condiments. Thank you for reading through my work. I also appreciate my mentor @kingreechy for his consistent assistance.
