What a wonderful day to all great steemian around the globe, I am very happy to be here again to share with you with my diary game How I went to port harcourt sitting on top of a train i remain my humble self @moyinlove
I woke up to sound of my alarm which have been set to ring by 5:30 on every morning. I quickly stood up headed straight to the bathroom to use the toilet and came back to my room to begin my usual morning devotion which normally lasts for about an hour.
I have decided since am going to travel to port harcourt I decide not to go to work at least I need to take a rest for the journey.
My corper colleague @joyuduak came to me that she too will be going to port harcourt but she is going to work and she will be back by 4pm.. And we decided that after she comes back we are going to go to port together…
Our normal plan was to go to park and board a bus to take us which we are going to spend almost 2500 naira because aba to port harcourt road is very bad . Normally it should be 1500.
I was inside the room when one of the new corper colleagues came in and told me he want to go to port and he is going on train .. I asked him if I can follow him and he told me no problem but he is going to book tickets by 3:30pm. So he said booking a ticket is 200naira .. I was shock and immediately I pack my bag and also called my friend @joyuduark that I have to board a train and I don’t think I can wait for her anymore
So around 3:30 we went to the train station, as we got there .. everywhere was empty so we ask around if there is no train and we were told that the train has gone , we felt so bad ,then my corper colleagues called one of the staff to ask if they had gone so far and he said they are still in aba at Oju market where the second terminal is located and if we can get there faster we can still meet the train , immediately we took keke to the market and to God be the glory we met the train.
But it was already full that there is no place we can manage so some people who are sitting on top of the train because there is no space to sit inside told us to join them , I first decline because it was scary but my friend
Persuaded me so we climb the steps that lead to the top of the train, it was scary to sit there because it is not straight and the floor was very far.
So two girls that are used to the journey told us that the caution we have to take is
:If we see electric wire or a big tree with branches close to us we should bend or lie flat on the train
As we started moving it was getting fun and it was not that scary as i thought,just as the girl told us we saw wire and something big trees with branches and we follow the instructions .
As we are moving we stop at some train terminals to drop passengers at some places I could see children waving at us ,
I saw a big ocean
and I also saw a big fertilizer company
that my first time seeing that .
My friend came down at his own stop so I had to go inside the train
Around 8:00 I got to GARISON where I stopped and I took taxi home.
It was a great experience and adventure for me . I would love to experience it again.
