I am going to deal with this problem attack as part (1) out of the four stages I earlier mentioned on facing problems of life.
Problems come to us in different forms, but let me state from the start that any problem that money can solve is not really a serious problem. The more serious problems of life are those that no matter how much money we through at them, we find no solutions.
A good example would be the loss of a loved one,. No amount of money can solve the pain involved. Another example is lack of peace in the soul. A person can have all the money in the world and yet does not have peace in his or her life, or is unable to find someone who truly loves him for who he is.
There are different kinds of problems that we come across for sometimes in life, to continue to list them here is unwise since we can not possibly name all problems that each believer faces. So, we are relating with what happens when we first encounter any problem.
What do we do in a situation like this.
When we face a problem, the first attempt of Satan is to magnify the problem so as to cause us to ignore the power of God. Of course, we often are not aware that it is the enemy of God that magnifies our problems so that we think that they are unsolvable. We have the definition of this problem in the Word of God, but let me two ways that would help us establish the negative guidelines which go into effect when we face a problem.
When the Israelites left Egypt having been freed from the bondage of slavery, there first problem was how to cross the Red Sea. As they were facing this situation, the matter became more serious on them because the pursuit of the Egyptians as we read in Exodus 14: 10 and 11,
Vs10 -As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and they were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord.
Hear what they said because of the problem they were facing at the moment.
(11) They said to Moses "was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?
In human point of view, the Israelites where facing death. They would either drown trying to cross the Red Sea, or the marching Egyptians army would slaughter them. You see how Satan went ahead to magnify there problem, it is true that they cried to God. but Satan caused they to focus more on the problem than on the Lord whom they had cried out to. furthermore, they did not look to God at this point but they became more concerned with blaming their leader Moses. To them it was Moses fault that brought them to face the problem.
Conclusion
So, Satan seems to have won the first round by magnifying the problem. Of course, as the story reveals, God has the final say drying the Red Sea so that the Israelites passed through without any disturbance. watch out for the next episode. Remain rapturable @Ngadyke123.
