Introduction

Dearest steemians,it's a pleasure writing you once again. This time I'm embarking on a trip to the western part of Nigeria, lagos to be precise and truely every journey in life is remarkable and has lessons to learn.
This I think is the beauty of life. The fact that life and it's adventures unlike our everyday routine never get mundane and boring.

I had spent the days before packing my bags and retouching my hair.

Without saying so much the next morning I was up and about as early as 6am. We had scheduled to leave latest by 8:30am but trust people, some were arriving as 'early' as 10:30am. We finally left owerri by 12:20pm after some of the drivers started complaining and threatened to leave us.

The Journey Begins

Immediately we were well on our way I brought out my food and started devouring it. It's a long journey and I need my strength.

My Food

Our driver had told me that we'll be entering Lagos late say by 8pm depending on the level of traffic we encounter. He worried we would meet terrible gridlock at these 3 locations

  • Asaba round about
  • Airport road
  • Onitsha road

Of these three, the only place we encountered serious traffic was at Onitsha overhead bridge What3word and this was because certain heavy duty vehicles had broken down at the center of the bridge and hadn't been moved.

Stopping For Food

We got to Ore What3word by 7:50pm and quickly stopped to buy food to eat. We would have continued our journey but a good number of us were so hungry it was almost hilarious. They had been shouting their need for food as far as 2hours to Ore.
At Ore we bought different things based on our appetites.

At long last we got to the camp by past 12am and I was so tired I couldn't can 🤣🤣.

Tired me

Tomorrow the king will arrive and I can hardly wait.
