Description: It is an epic drama that depicts the African culture and way of love.
Although fictional, it comes with lots of interesting line.

Does it? There's only one way to find out.
Journey with me, as we find out

Chapter 1

My maiden from Amaugo kingdom just brought me a roasted yam and oil in a lonely calabash.

To entice me more, she wagged her wrapper-ed waist to the rhythm of the woodpecker's tic tic sound, as I devoured eyes up on their charisma.

Oh! Her dance step enthralled my greedy eyes wanting more.
I gave her my the Greek's welcome.

I felt rejuvenated flowing my bloodstream as the palm oil dripped to the hungry floor whilst at my bedazzlement.

As I was head-dancing to my near forever, my maiden began to shed a river tears.

She said to me; "We can't be in the happily-ever-after.

Why my love, why? -I asked.
"I'd do anything. I would......." (I struggled out)
Then she interrupted; "I am an Osu!"

Nne, I don't care whatever you are. You are a human. Not just a human, you are my human want.
Don't make tradition make a vague chasm.

Don't make me run into the forest of Agbadike, never to return.
You are the woman I ever wanted.
Even the river goddess can not unmake this knot.
Please Nne, this is our chance, let us enlope to oblivion

Nnam, my heart would know no peace if you ended in another maiden's arms.
Suicide might be my only desire.
Afurum gi na anya. You are my coco and my nut.
But please, let's observe this tradition.

You know today is Eke market day,
I have to run ahead before Mama begins to trace my trail.

Nne wait..... Oh no, she's gone!
(I Sheds tears as I struggle back the mud path in between over lapping Icheku and akwukwo ede leaves.)

Curtain closes

(Curtain opens again under an Ukwa tree)

Me: The light of my heart, the rose of all petals, I couldn't sleep all night.
I was thinking about our discussion last night.

Nne: Obim, neither did I.
I was awake until the moon went to sleep itself.
Even after the tales by moonlight, all the maidens walked to there hunts, but my legs where heavy.

I don't want to lose you, Obim.
Please, promise me you won't love another woman.

Me: (Stands up) Leave you?! For who?!
I'd rather drown in Ozubiri River than leave you.
Don't you get it?!
No maiden in this village, the whole of this clan, can win my heart, Oyo m.

Nne: (Shy) Are you sure?

Me: Ha nne, why are you talking like this na?
Ína ekwu ka aga asi na gi amaghi na obu gi ka m huru gi na anya..... Eh asa m!

Nne: Obim, that's not what I meant!
Well Obim, I want you to answer me looking at my eyes. (I stood up and faced her)
Hold my hips! (I obliged)
Will you ever leave me in any situation?

Me: Oh, not again!
Nne, if you are in the time of Babylon.... em what is that his name again?
Ehh, Nebu, ehh, Nebuchadnezzar.

If you were among the ones he throw into the furnace, I'd be the fourth one jumping into it.
I so love you nnem, can't you see it?

Nne: I know you do. But I, I....

Me: You what?

Nne: (Sobs) I am pregnant.

Me: You are what?!

(She ran away while I was still trying to understand what she said. Then I staggered home intoxicated by the heavy words of Nne.)

(Drinking from the dregs of the over-foamed palm wine)

Me: Ha Nne, this meal is delicious.
I am wondering what happens when I finally taste the oha soup you promised me.
(Nne smiled)
But Nne, I've been thinking about what happened yesterday.

Nne: (Smiling) I was only kidding nah.

Me: Just kidding?

Nne: Yes Nnam.
But Nna, I saw you standing with Adaku last night close to Ekwuku market.
I'm not happy at all (Frowning her face)

Me: Have you forgotten that Adaku is my childhood friend?
How can you think I will be having something to do with somebody I have always known.
She was only complaining to me that she hasn't been feeling all okay and.....

Nne: And she needs you to cure her! (She interrupted)

Me: Let's not start this please.
Even Adaku knows that you are the only woman in my life.
I don't expect you to be jealous, eh akwaeke m, tomato Jos'm, olu gbajie boys.
Oya smile na.

Nne: (Still frowning)

Me: Smile for me nah.
You know what?!
One smile from you and when I'm going for my evening hunt tomorrow, I'll definitely bring you a grass cutter.

Nne: Leave me alone joor.

Me: (Tickles her)

Nne: Okay, okay, I believe you.
But can you accompany me to the stream to fetch firewood, it's getting late and I can't go alone.

(We both left, and the light gradually fades out)

(In the woods, the curtain opens on me staring directly at my flower, my hibiscus,my beauty as she gathers her wood and some grasses for the ever mee-ing goats in their house.)

Me: (In mid thought mutters) Such a beauty.
Oh God, just as Eve complemented Adam, you have made my better half.
Oh......

Nne: Nna m oo, I've been calling you for the past three minutes now. What have you been thinking?

Me: Oh my beloved, I couldn't help but acknowledge what God has done by giving you to me.

Nne: You've started again.
Come and help me carry this log to my head.
