INTRODUCTION

Hello my good people,
I want to specially appreciate @ngoenyi the city coordinator of uyo and all other cities without a coordinators. Sincerely ma you have really been doing a wonderful work for us beginning from the zoom meeting held every Saturday by 3 to organizing contest for us. You are really a mother, more grace to your elbow. Today I will be participating on the contest that goes with the title "I WANT TO KNOW YOUR CITY". Please read through as I carry you to a journey of my city via the guideline or questions asked.

Tell us the name of your city

The name of my city is Wukari a local government in taraba state Nigeria.

How did you find yourself in that city

Well, I came to Wukari in the year 2016 when I got admission into the federal university to study as an undergraduate in the department of computer sciences.

Do you intend to leave the city soon

As I earlier said, I came to study, and if not for the pandemic which kept academics stagnate for a whole year, I could have graduated and left the city before now. Never the less am almost rounding up and will be living the city soonest.

If you are given the choice, will you like to leave the city

Yes ooo, aside my education the weather condition here in wukari is very harsh hence I can't stay here for a longer period. Any opportunity I have I will be leaving the city.

Tell us the busiest buss terminal in your city in case a tourist want to visit

Well, my city is a very small one and there is actually no busy bus terminal. We only have one pack which majorly lead people to jalingo the state capital of the state.

Tell us the biggest market in your city

There are two major markets here in wukari I.e the new market and the old market. Due to the crises between Muslims and Christains, the king of wukari decided to separate their market. The old market is meant for the Muslim whereas the new market is meant for Christains. Below is a picture showing old market.

Tell us about the hotel in your city you will advise a tourist to stay in your city

There are a whole lots of hotel in my city, but one that is very affordable and well secured and has most amenities is the one we call Karofi Lodge. This Lodge is as old as wukari itself but most people patronise it because of it is very clean and also affordable

Conclusion

For the record, wukari are the highest producers of yam in the whole of taraba state. Though the city has suffered from both religious and tribal crises where houses are burnt down completely, people are killed and many other things tapping that are not supposed. Despite all these, wukari is still a home for all because the people here are very loving and caring most especially to strangers.
