WHAT CAUSES POOR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN A COUNTRY
Before I start I have to show some examples of my experience with images before writing about this topic.
Is school hours but most children's are sitting at home playing on a poor background.
Now let's proceed to the main topic about
what causes poor academic performance in most countries
1• POVERTY:
Yes everybody knows that poverty is a state of being extremely poor, but I can be seen as a state of being inferior in quality and insufficient in amount when it comes to Educational aspect. Yes poverty exist but is should not cause low education in our society because government are trying their possible best to improve the Educational standard of every society. Government schools are everywhere in every community in a state, so fund can not be cause of poor education.

There is a direct link between poverty and academic performance. According to a research, children living below the poverty threshold are 1.3 times as likely as nonpoor children to experience learning disabilities and developmental delays. And the findings suggest that the effects of poverty on children’s cognitive development occur early. This shows that there is a relationship between poverty and academic performance.
2• POOR HEALTH:
Poor health can cause poor academic performance to our society though The Government has established many health center in every community in a country.
A child suffering from ill health may not be able to do well academically. For example, children suffering from asthma are prone poor academic person if the ailment is poorly management.
It is the work of the teachers and parents to know how to manage the health of their children so as not to impact their academic performance.
Cooking in some local environment can cause illness to some children because of most bacterias, fungi and most time diseases from air which might be present.
The approach teachers use to deliver the subject content to students will determine whether the students will understand or not. When the content is poorly delivered, it will tell on the performance of the students. It is common to see teachers teaching while students are not learning. This calls for re-evaluation by the teachers on his/her approach to teaching.
SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEMS CAUSING POOR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN A COUNTRY
Parents should work hard to make sure their children go to school no matter the condition of the family background.
Government should provide job opportunities to our parents because not all parents are lazy.
Government should be able to provide supports for students from a poor background like grants, scholarships, etc. This will assist students in this category to remain focus.
Teachers should be student focus rather than being content minded.
Parents should try to live in harmony at least for this sake of their child. This will help them to be psychologically stable.
Qualified teachers should be employed by schools for quality teaching.
Conducive environment for learning should be provided by schools.
Students should be ready to learn, attend class regularly, and be inquisitive in class.
Group reading among students should be encouraged.
SUMMARY
If those solutions to poor academic performance in a country can be carried out I guess the country will be in harmony without any illiterate found.
