INTRODUCTION

Hello friends, I am so delighted making my acceptance post right now, as the Lagos city co-ordinator of @steemalive community. We have been selected from different parts of Nigeria as city co-ordinators to represent steemalive and Steemit in our various cities, if you missed the SCC announcement post by @steemalive, check it out here.

I ACCEPT

Although we already have few persons from Lagos in the person of @doppley, @harrygwec, @koladammy, @thequill as @steemalive members. I am going to work hand in hand with them, though some of them are no longer active on steemit, but I will try my best to restore them back to Steemit.

With regards to our mission, which is the 3Rs (Recruit, Retain and Reward), we are going to publicize Steemit in Lagos, and make sure that a whole lots of persons gets to know about Steemit. We are going to have meetups, at least twice per month where we will also train newbies for now. But I am going to fix a meetup with this ones right away to discuss on the way forward and fix the challenges they are having at hand as regards Steemit.

Basically, Lagos is not like every other city in Nigeria where getting a permanent training center is cheaper. So on that note, we will be using a fastfood facility for our meetups and trainings. And down here, the payment of facilities is per hour. From my enquiries previously, the least hall runs for 10,000 naira per 2hrs which is approximately 133steem at 75 naira per steem. For the first meetup, we will just go as customers, buy stuffs and then discuss. Then in subsequent times, as we increase in numbers, we will pay for halls per use.

We are going to print banners to display our presence whenever we are around. We will as well print fliers and steemit t-shirts for awareness sake. We will run Facebook ads with Lagos as target audience to attract people during our seminars. I know that all these will require finance. Basically, there are a lot that lies ahead of us to do, and I know that @steemitblog and @steemcurator01 will give us all necessary support we need to make sure that Steemit gets to the grassroot.
