INTRODUCTION
By enabling us to understand the impact of invention as it affects us is hence an opportunity to get us inspired and remember the beauty of history as we all try to write about this Top-3-Inventions. Inventions which is the end product of science, has necessarily caused us and the entire society to reconsider basic patterns of behavior. This has altered and changed the way of livelihood in the family and society at large.

TOP-3 INVENTIONS

1. THE TELEPHONE:
A telephone device is a telecommunications device that allows two or more(conference) users in different locations to initiate a conversation. It converts sound (especially human voice), into electronic signals that are transmitted to another telephone which in turn reproduces the sound to the receiving user.
This innovation for me is one of the breakthroughs for humans. It is regarded as one of the most useful device to have around as the benefits cannot be over emphasized. Imagine a world without means of communication (Telephone), where everyone needs to travel miles just to pass a simple information or send mails via postal services which happens to stay scores of days before delivery. Telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in March 7, 1876. However , this was seen in the hands of few (the rich). But thereafter telephone device was revolutionized which paved way for its mass production and made it cost friendly for all in the society.

In a typical developing country like ours, we can remember vividly when we have to queue just to have access to the NITEL LAND PHONE. You have purchase the call card which enables you have access to the phone connection, also ensure that the recipient from the other end is available to receive your call your their land phone too. This was still cumbersome in the early and late 90's . It was in 2001 before MTN-Nigeria came into main stay in the country and Globacom in 2003 subsequently.

• Telephone device allows you to have a two-way dialog with your partner. This ensures that the information is well delivered with clarity and also allows. It guarantees accurate feedback in same vein.

• It collapses the gap between space. It allows for real conversation between families and friends without worrying much about the distance apart. This success was assured with the audio and video features that comes with these devices.

• Issues of emergency timeline delivery has been attained over the years with minimal fatalities. i.e Health care emergencies (Tele-health), Security emergencies, Fire outbreak emergencies etc...

• Improved access to mobile- Education delivery. This facilitates teacher-student interaction and also enhances e-learning which was the main stay during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

2. THE INTERNET
The first workable prototype of the Internet came in the late 1960s with the creation of ARPANET. But the technology continued to grow in the 1970s after scientists Robert Kahn and Vinton Cerf developed Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol ( TCP/IP) a communications model that set standards for how data could be transmitted between multiple networks.

I can remember in the late 90's when we practically communicate only through mail deliveries (NIPOST). I personally write letters which feedback i received every 2 weeks (for local mails). This is to say, information delivery was time consuming and sometimes frustrating because this mail(s) may not get to the intended recipient. But the advent of Internet breached the gap between mail deliveries via this platform. Steemit which we know is heavily depended on the internet to run its blockchain. Businesses, Economies, Arts, politics (Elections), entertainment etc... are all powered by internet. This is also a platform which the Telephone depends on to enhance its activities. We could also remember the difficulty we found ourselves tracing locations/addresses which no longer exit now due to google map.
This is one thing that enable us to connect to the world seamlessly.

• It is a key player in Mapping, Addressing and GPS tracking. These tools are all powered by the internet technologies.
• It is also a major source of information, Knowledge and learning in our society.
• It serves as a means of transporting large files and documents from one location to another.
• It reduces time wasted in information dissemination.

COLORED TELEVISION
At the dawn of television history, two competing experimental approaches led to the breakthroughs that eventually made the technology possible. Early inventors attempted to build either a mechanical television based on Paul Nipkow's rotating disks or an electronic television using a cathode ray tube developed independently in 1907 by English inventor A.A. Campbell-Swinton and Russian scientist Boris Rosing. Because electronic television systems worked better, they eventually replaced mechanical systems.

Before the advent of colored television, it was a big deal for us down in this side of the world where Black and white television was seen in the few houses of the rich. There were specific time before it was opened for programs, and we were at the mercy of the owners to allow us view through the window for satisfaction.

• It enhances and also and improvement for E-learning. Audio-visual kind of learning has been voted best and impactful in the e-learning program.
• It is also a source of communication. Access to news across the world is easier with this platform.
• It also serves a cheap source for entertainment
