The Nooni language is spoken by approx. 64,000 speakers 2012 census for the Nkor-Noni Council inhabiting approximately 300 square kilometres in the Noni Subdivision, Bui Division of the North West Region of Cameroon.
It is to be noted that the language is referred to as “Nooni” while the people are referred to as “Noni”.
The main Noni villages are Djottin, Din, Dom (Bvugoy), Nkor, Lassin (Laan), and Mbinon (Tfuu), with each village having various quarters and outlying areas.

In our place when a man See's the girls he wants to marry the man and his friend or brother comes with palm wine and cola nut to see the parents of the girl telling him that they have seen a beautiful flowers in his house. The parents of the girls calls for her to be sure she is the one. After that they give them a list of what is required to payed before the girls can their wife. Items like a tine of red oil, salt, box of loin, money for the uncle and aunties, money for the oldest woman of the family, in case the girls parents do not have a house then Will need to build one. They then take the list home and if they see that they are able pay, then they alert the girls family when they are ready to come and pay the bride price. Before that day the girl is kept in the house were they feed her well and on that day they dress her well , food is cooked especially fufu corn and njamanjama with katikati. The girl comes out of the house that she is fresh and healthy the father breaks kola nuts and shares it with the parents of the boy as a sign of union between the two families.

The boy put on thesame dress as the girl then the parents of the girl gives her a cup of palm wine for the girl to go and show the husband.

She takes it and move around and when she finally sees bride groom she hand the cup over to him we're he drinks and give her to finish it. Every one on claps and the all move forward, were the father to the girl then blesses them and wishes them well in their marriage , and tell his daughter to never bring another husband in this house again.

And after that they goes to the eating part were the boy is given a very big loaf of corn fufu with very small soup and he must finish it. But the girl is free to give hers for the bride mate to help her with.

After that the feast continue and everyone move home but the bride those not goes back with the groom they have to come in the night and take her when no body is seeing with just the box of dresses the bought for her she those not collect any of her old clothes. And she needs to be putting on only loins since she needs to cover her body and keep e just for the husband.
