We live in an age of instant gratification. Everyone wants things to happen yesterday. It appears the world is lacking patience.

When it comes to wealth there are many views on this. We are all aware of the power of compounding interest. It made Warren Buffett one of the richest men in the world. He achieved near 20% returns over a half century. It is amazing how much money can be generated from consistent returns coupled with time.

In the markets, many people make money very quickly. The key is they know when to exit. Trading can be very profitable. However, there are sayings such as "bulls make money, bears make money, hogs get slaughtered" for a reason. Taking money off the table requires the ability to control one's emotions.

There was a lot of news about the Robinhood traders, buying into companies that were entering bankruptcy. The moves up were huge; actually to a degree that most seasoned traders could not understand. However, if money was taken off the table, it was a smart move.
