Nobody can claim that Elon Musk does not think big. It could be said that he helped to push the automobile industry into the electric age. Now, he is trying to do the same thing for hypersonic travel.
Much like he did with Tesla, Musk and SpaceX are going to use gigafactories to increase production.
The goal is to build two Starships a week. This would rival what Boeing and Airbus produce with commercial aircraft.
Building rockets has always been a very expensive proposition. Presently, there are 300 employees working on the building of the Starships. Next year, Musk claims there will be 3,000. This should help to push the price per Starship down to $5 million apiece.
Here is a video on the Starship program and what SpaceX is doing.
Blue Origin (Jeff Bezos) has announced that their New Glenn rockets will start flying in 2021.
The Space Race between private companies is really heating up. Virgin Galactic already went public in anticipation of the company being one of the leaders in the space tourism business.
SpaceX already released 240 satellites that will be used to provide a global internet service. Bezos and Blue Origin have the same plans as does OneWeb (Richard Branson).
Space travel is going to be the norm in the coming decades if these projects pan out. There are hundreds of billions of dollars on the line. The winners are going to likely become some of the most valuable in the world. Even at these early stages, SpaceX has a value of over $30 billion.
Eventually, we will see the hypersonic rockets shuttling people around the globe in a short time period. Most flights will end up taking under hour to cross the world. Plane manufacturers are also experimenting with the idea of hypersonic planes.
The 2030s will likely see humans and cargo shuttled faster and farther then present. We are nearing the Hypersonic Age.

Maybe soon, we'll have a 100% Tech-nanny that would have to do house chores and probably cook African delicacies that are time-demanding.
Sophistication of Technology sometimes gets too scary. While a selected few would be creative and innovative a bulky others would just not be thinking anymore for technology sake.
