My neighbor complains all the time that her husband left the house and didn’t bother to look back. She complains that he didn’t even bother to take care of the kids he left behind with her.
Most times, I say to myself that what could have happened? Also, she has an older boy who portrays some negative behaviors and follows bad boys in the area. The mum keeps complaining all the time and to be honest, I usually pity her because her children are troubling her and her husband left her and I know how painful that can be.
Luckily, I heard her talking to her friend one day about what her husband does when they were still together. She said that her husband complains that she gets back late from work. The listener asked, “what time do you get home from work?” and she said 11:00 pm. Why would you get home by 11:00 pm as a married woman and expect your home to be peaceful? It’s not possible. I was called upon by the listener to come add my little thoughts. I didn’t lie about how I felt. I made her realize that getting home late is bad.
Also, the man complains that their kids follow the footstep of their mother in the sense that they are rude and talk to people anyhow. I won’t lie but this is true. It’s bad to the point that the kids talk when two adults are talking which is one thing prohibited in Africa. It’s a way to show that you are rude. After too much talks, the husband was called to come. He declined maybe because he has vowed not to ever set his eyes on the woman again but after so many people begged him, he came around.
He as well mentioned so many things that his wife does and the way she supports the kids when they do something wrong. After so much talks, they sorted the issue between them and went back as husband and wife.
My neighbor thanked me and her friend who came around to sort the issue and ever since she got back with her husband, things went fine for her and family. Also, the boy who was stubborn before became very calm because he now has a father he’s looking up to and the person who can caution him whenever he does something wrong.
I’d love to invite @jovita30 @joan-na and @pandordiary to also participate in this contest.
