Kenneth has been a prisoner for two years and was on a death roll to be executed in two weeks time for so he told a senior colleague of mine who had gone to prison to visit some inmates. My mind drifted to the full true life story as I stood watching this sculptured piece of a young man in prison.
A promising young man who was in his early twenties but wanted to make ends meet at all cost. He joined a group of bad guys who were robbers and he followed them on his first robbery mission which looked promising.
They went to the house of an army general to rob him and while the robbery was going on, the police was tipped off and they arrived to the scene of the robbery. All the robbers were looking for a means of escape as the police men were almost close to the scene with their wailing siren giving off their closeness.
Kenneth said as they were trying to escape, the army general held one of the robbers tightly and refused to let him go. The guy shot the army general on the head and jumped the fence from the window to the other side. Obviously they were used to it as it wasn’t their first time. They all escaped except him.
Kenneth could not jump the fence, it was too high for him and this was just his fist mission. He was still contemplating on how to escape the robbery scene when the police showed up and caught up with him. He was arrested for a murder he didn’t commit and was put behind bars.
Now in prison and on a death roll, his life flashed before him and he was a bag of regret. If only he could have his freedom back, he would chose rightly. Freedom is expensive. Now we are free, we should make choices we won’t regret.
A noise beside me jiggled me back to reality as I looked by the side and saw other sculptural pieces. Am a fan of sculptures, I was passing this route and saw this sculptured pieces and stepped over to take a look at them.
What did you hear about African Chieftains? This next beautifully sculptured work of art is a high chief in his full regalia. Standing with his staff which in this part of Africa is a symbol of authority.
There are different regalia depending on the function at hand but the regalia displaced above is the half dressing regalia. The chiefs gets to be adorned with beaded crowns and high neck beads with the dropping ones too and then the wrapper from the waist down as the sculpture piece displaced.
They don’t wear cloths on the upper part of the body which is simply a way to show off masculinity and they look gorgeous just as we see from the sculpture.
I was fascinated by this sculptural piece cos is a perfect blend of skill, speed and balance. This is a sculptured piece of a warrior on a galloping horse who is armed with his bow and arrow and ready to shoot on an enemy.
Did you notice he wasn’t holding the reins of the horse and yet he was turned backwards and ready to take on his target. That speaks of balance and skill. The red touches on the piece gave it that alluring look and did you notice the serious look on that face.
Take a look at that beautiful insect by the left side. Isn’t it cute? It’s just so refreshing seeing that this inanimate piece of sculptures can speak so much volumes to us just by looking at them.
Art is a beautiful part of life. I’d say that life is Art and Art is lif . When you look at the beauty of creation, it’s only gives you a beautiful art picture perfectly fitted together.
One of the aspects of Art that I love so such is sculpting. Whenever I see a fine sculpture, I’d stand and take a long and admiring look at it. Am basically baffled with the talent behind it because I can’t relate with how people come to make so much 3D beauty.
Thank you for reading through, hope you love the sculptural pictures. I ask @bessie20, @kizboy and @vickeyson to participate in this contest.
Thank you for your wonderful efforts in highlighting Kenneth's story and expressing the aspects of life and art. A powerful reminder of the importance of making the right choices and the blessing of freedom. Your creative work in showcasing sculpting reflects the beauty of life and inspires others. Thanks again! 🫶🫡

Very interesting read!
The first sculpture caught my attention. Kenneth met his waterloo at such a young age. His decisions were good and although his first time, I didn’t have another opportunity to make adjustment.
It's good to make good choices.
